Perron gets interfered with, no call. Does the same thing himself, suddenly it is a call. Not from the guy right there, but from the far back ref Perron complained to.. Same guy who missed the high stick. Ref being petty, or on a one man mission to convince everyone the officials who force fed San Jose all last playoffs actually are the best the league has to offer? lol

So far so good. I'm not seeing any SC hangover after three games.

Goofy question: anyone ever think that the Faulk/ Schenn deals could be alleviated by the expansion draft?

If the Blues do manage to resign Petro, they could potentially protect O’Reilly, Thomas, Tarasenko, Parayko, Petro, Dunn, Schwartz, and one of the youngsters along with Binnington.

Seattle might be interested in taking Schenn or Faulk as a jump start to their team.

By signing these guys to these contracts, it provides the Blues or the Seattle club cost certainty for the foreseeable future at the position. Additionally, because each contract is front loaded, they become attractive to teams looking to use cap space while not paying out wages, allowing the players to slot where they best fit...

Thoughts?

If Seattle copies the Vegas model as they probably will, I think they will aim young guys like Kostin / Blais / Fabbri

James Neal? Nate Schmidt? Jason Garrison? Part of what made Vegas so successful was their mix of youth and veterans...

Gotta think Blues sign petro. then unless dunn regresses terribly and faulk kills it, we protect petro, parayko, dunn leaving faulk exposed and most likely taken. That is my guess but who knows

Off topic question--

I want to bring my wife and daughter to a Blue's game. We're from the Chicago area--Blackhawk fans--but we want to see good hockey.
Will the Blue's fans give us a problem if we wear our Blackhawk gear? Good natured ribbing is fine. But will we be abused?

We went to a Flyers game a couple years ago and were lucky to leave with our lives. Same with going to Fenway and wearing Cubs hat. I don't want to subject my wife and daughter to that again.

thanks.

Agreed. As long as the away fans aren't a-hats or start things, I haven't seen any issues in a game in St. Louis in a long time.

Honestly, the last time I remember anything happening at the rink was back in the Arena days. I remember Wings and Hawks fans traveling well and bringing a drunk hooligan element with them... haven’t seen that crowd in years.

Most hockey fans I meet are great people. Plus, with ticket prices rising, there’s a financial disincentive to fighting. Why pay that much to spend the night in jail?

Where’s our Goalie Blogger?

Hope all is well for everyone

Playing the Bruins in Boston tomorrow.

Liked Thomas’s response in the postgame interview. “I hope we get boo’ed”. Ha ha. Don’t worry they will
