Incredible story. Thank you Bill. So nice to hear about something positive for veterans. We couldn't possibly repay them for what they have given us and the freedoms we enjoy.

Bill-This is terrific. Thank you for telling it. I saw a video interview you did of one of the Warrior’s dads. It was very moving as well. I am surrounded by family both active and retired military, but I couldn’t help but notice that my thoughts rested on a grandfather WW II vet who suffered in silence for decades. This program is very important.

I echo everyone's comments here. Fantastic program and we can't repay these folks enough. As a current serving member of the Canadian navy, I see many cases of ptsd where people under suffer in silence. In my job I've had the privilege to have been able to help a few of them by guiding them through our medical services as best I can to ensure they get help.

Great program and well done boys.

Sports can be such a strong factor in people's lives, while each and every person may have different reasons to participate, in the end it can have such a positive impact on all involved, its one of the many reasons why I eat, sleep and breathe them.

Fantastic story Bill, thanks as always for those little in-between stories that show a different side of the sport, and one that most people may never hear or read about.

Our schedule is rough this year

Most B2Bs in the league. Longest home stand is only 3 (!!!) games. Absolutely brutal. I wonder who has the second shortest longest home stand.

Some smart stats guy on twitter did a schedule analysis and found we had the 2nd hardest schedule this year in terms of whether we play tired or rested teams when the flyers are tired or rested. Over the past decade, third hardest

I wonder if this is something anyone in the Flyers upper management has tried to address with the league. You would think it would be somewhat of a give and take (have a hard schedule and then an easy schedule) and not even in terms of the competition because no one would know who is going to be good prior to the season, just in terms of back to backs and the tired vs. rested thing. It does always seem like we have more back to backs and 3 in 4's than most teams.

The Flyers get that kind of schedule because their overall mileage is so low compared to most of the league.

Great that someone did the research to back it up. Intuitively I could tell that each year seems to play out the same. We ease our way into the season with a few games here and there. Then in march April we normally have played less games than everybody and play every ther night with b2b and 3 in 4s like crazy to end the season. It's wild, and you can't tell me that teams who play more in the fall aren't more fresh come the spring.

We are literally less than a 100 miles from several teams, the density of the schedule we seem to go through every spring should be spread from team to team. it isn't fair that we always seem to be going through this. I mean this year we are at the top of back to backs being played, same as last year. This can be changed.

Yeah. That's my point. If that's how the league wants to play it fine but rotate that insane sched

Last year the Flyers had 14 B2B, Florida and Carolina had 17. Northeastern teams average about 35;000 miles a year while west coast teams average about 48,000 with some as high as 52,000. So really what is there to complain about.

Such an amazing read Bill, thank you!

For all the bickering this channel sometimes has you, also our hate of the Flyers schedule, and your content are the unifying glue.
