Let's be 100% clear, Lou is not retaining any of Ho Sang's salary in a trade. I do agree the only way he gets traded is if he is part of a package. My money is on him spending the rest of his pro hockey career in Europe.
Rob Schremp had lots of talent but couldn't stick in the NHL. Ho Sang is the same. Lots of skill but has no desire to play a team game or even backcheck.
I wish Josh no ill will, but I'm tired of talking about how talented he is. He's a bust plain and simple |

Ho-Sang cleared waivers and no one wanted him, why would a team trade for him now, he's delusional with his trade request , thinking he's Antonio Brown or something - Alexzanki
You can only have 50 contracts. Some teams likely don't want to have another contract on the books but might be willing to take a flyer on the guy in a trade so they still have an extra contract slot or two to add a player later. |

I always thought a Ho Sang for Milano trade would make sense. |

If he could be a difference maker someone would of taken him, right now Ottawa has the most with 49 slots out of 50, I doubt a contract slot for a 1 year RFA is truly the issue . |

I'm game for that, not sure Milano really fits a particularly big need for the Islanders...but it would be cool to have a local kid come play here. |

He's a bit of a risk to be sure. |

He also would've had to clear waivers a second time if the team that claimed him wanted to send him to the AHL, not to mention he was waived right around the time that a lot of teams hadn't finalized their rosters yet. I think it was more surprising that nobody claimed Sprong, honestly. If he's traded a team could assign him directly to their AHL affiliate.
My guess is that Lou isn't going to dump him for a 6th round pick and risk having some bad optics if he pans out elsewhere. He said he'd try to find somewhere to trade Josh, but if that didn't work that he expected him to report to Bridgeport. My guess is that he can't work anything out, tells Ho Sang to go to the Bridgeport and he jumps ship and goes to Europe to play. |

Don't know much about the kid, but it certainly seems like he has a tendency to rub people the wrong way from things I've read about him in the past! I'm sure a trade request is basically a last ditch effort to live his dream and get a fresh start somewhere/anywhere. |

So no team wanted to snag him off waivers, but several teams are interested in trading for him? Do you proofread your posts? |

Ho-Sang Is a bargain, Ottawa and Arizona have no reason not to roll the dice or even the Wild, I think this guy has s reputation that is unwarranted who cares what number he chose and he missed a meeting once in juniors oh my god it's the end of the world. |

His reputation is definitely overblown, but there he's done plenty more than just missing a meeting once in juniors that contribute to the general view of him. It's not totally unwarranted, but yeah people make a much bigger deal of his attitude than they should. |
