In terms of plucky underodgs, I'm going with the Caps. They get to have Jagr, Ovy, Bondra all in their prime with Adam Oates and Backstrom centering them. Having a blueline consisting of a young Scott Stevens and a howitzer from the point of Al Iafrate is nothing to scoff at either. They wouldn't win the whole thing, but they will knock off someone good.
