We'll see.
If the Hawks can play 60 minutes like they did in the first period of the Sharks game, they should get victory #1 tomorrow. |

Thank the hockey gods that Gus is finally on the 3rd pairing - I want to believe in JC - but that was an obvious line-up problem.
Missed the last game - thankfully. Spending some vacation time in Nova Scotia right now. Wife and I are going to catch the Halifax Mooseheads game against Val D’Or on Sunday. I love Canada more and more each time I visit. |

Colliton should attempt to match lines. Put players in a position to succeed
Maybe take some ownership of the horrible bench management he has shown. |

I didn't include it, but this Nylander saga should be interesting all season.
Two games in and he's headed to scratch-ville.
Meanwhile, over in Buffalo, Jokiharju is 7th on the team with a 57.0 CF%.
Sorry... a comment like that will incite a riot on here. Let's not think about that Jokiharju for Nylander trade ever again. |

Also, didn't include it but Brendan Perlini looks like he'll make his debut.
I would love to see him bring a little physicality and energy to his game. He's not a 4th line type player but if he can make it work his offensive skill would really help the Hawks run a balanced lineup. |

Stan Bowman should be on “playoffs or find a new job” orders from McDonagh. 3 playoff game wins since June 2015. |

De Haan in - Koekkoek out - Gus away from Keith. The pairings should be much better now. De Haan should be able to cover for Gus (once he gets his blades going the right direction in his first game).
I don’t like the forward lines as much. Why not try AdB-Strome-Perlini, which worked well for two weeks last season? Perlini shouldn’t be a 4th liner with his skills. |

Premature to declare it one way or the other. The trade was a calculated risk based upon the Hawks having more defensive prospect depth as compared to depth at forward. Nylander could prove to be useful yet. |

Nylander is scratched this weekend bc he’s taking a trip to Oz to acquire some courage.

I'm excited to see what de Haan, Dach, and Lehner can bring as well. IMO, it's not a matter of whether they can provide enough but more so can they be better than who they are replacing (or backing up in the case of Lehner) and help improve the depth so every player is slotted appropriately. |

Yes the Hawks vaunted Defense that has given up 9 goals in 2 games and was 30th out of 31 teams last year allowed them to trade away a 20yr old 200ft NHL defenseman away. Boqvist and Mitchell better be Hits.... |

JC wouldn't play Joki either so would it really matter if he was here? |

I caught some of the Sabres game this evening, and it looked like Joker could use some courage as well. |

Let’s hope they are.
However, after Dach, who is a forward prospect that projects for the top 6? The deal is still too soon to declare, but I at least understand why the move was made. |
