He probably should have been taken over Reinhart. Had just as many points but no skating problems. No real "steal" at all. At the time, the competition was just as good as he was.

IIRC both had their skating questioned back then. I definitely remember people questioning Leon's skating, no one said he was slow, but he wasn't described as fast either.

I can't remember that far. Every prospect except McDavid and Hughes have to work on their skating. It's something I quit listening to unless they are Reid Boucher skating strength.

Ekblad, yes, fantastic player in his own right, no one else really. Still maintain he was a steal. He was a much better player than Reinhart imo, Reinhart is still a very one dimensional player, LD is out there in all situations, Reinhart, not so much.
