The only fear I have is if they move one of the quality d men, the damn injury bug will hit and it would leave the team with a severe hole in the lineup.
We are just not deep enough if that came to be.

Anaheim is playing the trap this year. Should be interesting to see how we handle it.

A strong part of our game has been in transition, good breakout passes leading to rushes that we have been able to score with.

If this trap neutralizes our transition game, we will have to depend on zone possession and power play to score.

I don’t think Anaheim is any good. That’s why they are playing the trap. So I like the Sabres chances.

Side note: this game is the most favored the Sabres have been so far this year to win.

I think it was c-bus that came at us hard, got a lead, then trapped. We did not adjust well but hopefully we learned from it.

Just get him moving laterally and never let him set up. His game, especially in his twilight years, is predicated on positioning. Get the old fart moving

Whoever is in net for us gets an empty net goal with 3 minutes left in regulation.

Looking forward to seeing Ralph's system play out irregardless of the outcome at this point. I want to see consistency of the system, we will lose some and win more, but I believe the players Believe in Ralph!

Regardless of our record or their record it always seems that these are really tough games. Whenever they head to the west coast it always leaves me with a uneasy feeling.
