So dumb some NHL teams have played 8 games already, tonight is our 4th. They should release the identity of the schedule maker |

Again, with all the new faces I think more practice time only helps us. Besides, if we are in the thick of the wild card come New Years, all of those games in hand are going to be a benefit to us. |

I'm beginning to think that maybe Neal just never fit in with the Flames. He might not quite be what he was, but he sure looks like an effective player again. He perfectly balances their top 6.
Klefblom is obviously a stud, but Nurse has really blossomed the past season or so. Maybe they finally have their defense kind of figured out too. |

Makes sense but I am worried that this dumb schedule could have stifled a hot start. The games in hand may come in really useful. |

It may also suck if the Rangers have to play 5 games in like 8 days down the stretch when they are fighting for a playoff spot. Need players at full rest/strength for those games |

I don't want to take my seat on team negative, but our two wins came against a Jets team in disarray and Ottawa. In both we sort of looked like a one line time. I think better times for us will come in a few months and all the pieces will face in place, but I'm not convinced that if we had played the Oilers "sooner" that we would have put up a better fight.
Based on how awful the Devils look, this is a real winnable game tonight. This is the type of game where you want us to win and win pretty solidly because that's what good teams usually do. |

We have almost the youngest team in the league at this point, I'm not sure other than guys like Hank and Staal this is an issue. |

I am real worried about the game tonight. Devils are 0-6 and they have to show some fight at some point. |

well some of the younger guys who aren't used to the 82 game grind may be affected. And I am sure players will be banged up.
I do like the games in hand though |

I hear you, but regardless this is where you stomp a rival. Actually this Devils team is sort of reminding me of that CBJ team that started 0-10? right before they brought Torts in. All the pieces are there, but something just isn't working. |

I think they are better than this too. But the Rangers have to destroy them given their current state. If the Rangers come out flat they will be the ones getting stomped. |

another thing about the Oilers, I think everyone can put trading for RNH to bed, I dont see why they would want to trade him at this point |

I really hope Howden can make a difference on the 2nd line. This team needs to balance out the scoring |

RNH and Neal is a pretty nasty line to try to play against. It's pretty much what they were trying to accomplish in getting Lucic, recreating what made the Bruins good. It's really what I hope Lias and Lemieux become a version of if they can move up the lineup. |

Cautiously optimistic on that. He obviously has talent, I just feel he had his confidence destroyed when he slumped last year. He's going to have the weapons to succeed, that's for sure. |

Note: seeing Smith too much unless hes playing like his life depended on it
