Yeah... I'm not sure "trying to do it somewhere else" is a good way to describe David Perron. More like, went and did with someone else what Vegas couldn't get done.
And as well as Vegas did at the expansion draft, some good teams managed to lose nothing. Doug Armstrong knew Knights liked Reaves, so he protected him (and got a first round pick for him) and let Vegas take Perron, only to sign him back 12 months later. Lots of teams are going to be smarter about the draft with Seattle.
