This Global Series is pivotal. If we get embarrassed, that's for not just all of NA to see, but all of Europe who want in on the NHL fun. I don't think JBB (or Vinik) will stand for that.
If we do well, this could be a motivating point to build on.
If we do middling-meh like we already have... ugh... that would be the worst outcome, tbh.
