A couple of those #'s are from a couple really bad games. Vegas and couple others.

Overall the team has kept the wheels on despite the injuries and all the kids merging and finding their way.

What I do like is this team gets better as games move forward .. which is a gigantic change from the RC years.

Being where they are league and conference wise shows that they can absorb injuries and integration and still succeed.

Also the wins for the most part have come against quality comp. Avs. Buf. Car. Van. just to name a few.

Going to be a greaaaat night.

Congrats Getzlaf, you're a first ballot HHOF if I got to vote.

Ducks will fall out of a playoff spot by Dec 1 and never see one for the rest of the season. I'm not hating, I'm just honest. 75% of the team was in the AHL last season, plus they've got MDZ and Guddy in their top 4. Gibson is great and will keep them in a lot of games they really shouldnt be in, but there's no evidence to suggest their record is sustainable.

Why is Holzer in the lineup everyday and D like Mahura are scratched and Guhle is down in SD? Holzer is not a regular everyday defenseman!

I’d take good goaltending over great metrics any day.

It's getting time to make some decisions on how the season is going to go. Despite the lack of production I have liked the way Sam Steel has played, he has shown promise. Same with Max Comtois, he's been going to the net and getting scoring chances. However, it might be time to send Troy Terry down. He had a goose egg in shots AND shot attempts last night, against defensive stalwart Minnesota. I sit right behind the goal and the last 2 games Terry's had clear paths to the net and instead of shooting or driving the net, he's tried to pass off to someone else. This team only needs one Getzlaf and even he's shooting more this year. If they think they can be competitive, bring up Sherwood and let Troy get some confidence in SD. If they are just going to let the kids play, then Terry needs to watch a little from upstairs with me. Or watch tape on how Rackell played last night.

I like troy though. Some of it is probably unreasonable expectations placed on him. With his size its gonna take awhile to adjust. Sending him down isn't going to change that. But he's shown good skating and a ability to to make a quick pass. Maybe just cut down his minutes. He's gonna be one of those players who has to be max effort. And over playing him would be bad. But I think Dallas Eakins knows that. So I'm not really that worried about Terry.

Guhle's defensive end slipped greatly while he was injured. And Mahura is completely lost in his own end. If the Ducks are trying to win games, Holzer is a better option than Mahura every day of the week. When Guhle gets his game back, Holzer and MDZ can take turns sitting. When Manson gets back it'll be:

Lindholm - Manson
Guhle - Fowler
MDZ/Gudbranson/Holzer

Bring in Deslauriers for Terry? Hahahahahahaha! Once the Ducks are tanking, that's a fine plan.

I drafted Terry in a bunch of deep fantasy pools and have been keeping a close eye. I agree his game isn't NHL calibre this year.
