San Jose is not a very good team at all, they're not going to make the playoffs. Their two best D aren't very good defensively, and their goalies are terrible. That's a bad combo, that will see them give up tonnes of goals all year. they have no chance at playoffs.

Chicago, I'd love to see them, but I'm doubtful. the rest all have a shot, and Pittsburgh and Tampa are pretty much locks, despite where they are in the standings.



Carolina will not fall out. They're a stacked team, and they'll get a divisional seed. Arizona is a no brainer, the other ones are true, but I think Calgary probably makes it.

You've left out Edmonton. They'll be a bottom 5 to 10 team by Christmas.

i think San Jose could bounce back in the second half, as the game starts to slow down a bit from the breakneck pace we see over the first 25-30 games. but that goaltending needs to shore up.

Have you seen Chicago play this year ? On paper they appear to be a talented team that should be competitive and make the playoffs. Win the Stanley Cup ? Probably not. Reality - this team is simply horrible. It all points to the system Jeremy Colliton is trying to force upon the team. A dump and chase offense, and some hybrid of man-to-man on the fly shift to zone defense. Patrick Kane dumping and chasing...wtf ? The Hawks goalies are under siege every night with almost 50 shots a game. Hawks can't get out of their own zone and can go an entire period getting only a couple shots on goal. Power Play ? Can they decline it ?
