I like the idea of Reilly-Barrie getting a more sheltered offensive matchup while Muzzin drags someone along in the D matchups (see: Zaitsev). I doubt Holl moves to the left side so Dermott can play right. Holl is just starting to play well and find his game. We don't want to ruin that development and confidence now. |

I dont have a good reason, but I dont think the Leafs drop Spezza

I can't see it being Spezza, we really need the C depth.
I would rather not have Nylander play 3C again in the playoffs. |

Cause of Shore's faceoff winning abilities and PK.
But in all honesty I don't care who gets waived. I just want to see Hyman back in the lineup and get that JT line back to a top 5 line In the NHL.

I can't believe the Leafs would be so classless.
After all Spezza has done for the Senators and the Stars, throughout his career, the Leafs owe it to him to keep him on the roster - even if he can't actually compete.
16 seasons with other clubs in the NHL.
The Leafs need to honour him. |

Yeah I'd be okay with that. Pretty sure Timashov has to clear waivers which I think is highly unlikely.
It would've been easier to sneak him through at the start of the year when every team is doing the same thing.
I don't think many people would miss him being in the lineup.
I also forgot about Petan. He doesnt have to clear waivers does he? I forget how the whole waiver wire works since he got waived earlier in the season.

maybe so far Shore has a better FO%, but Spezza has been one of the best over the last several seasons.
shore gets some crazy Def zone starts %, he is like 95% def/neutral zone starts
So that might be what they value him over Spezza

It's interesting because Spezza's D-zone starts is at 60% and Shore is at 78%.
