I still think Puljujarvi and Gagner/Manning for Athanasiou is the most likely scenario. There's no point in trading for UFAs who WILL COST YOU A LOT MORE THAN KRIS RUSSELL and set the team back further for a sniff at the playoffs. |

Be interesting to see what happens next. I doubt these guys from the IR are going to bend the needle.
A nice start would be RNH, Neal and Chiasson being productive 5 on 5.
Maybe it's time to throw RNH up with McDavid and see if LD can find chemistry with someone else. |

I hope we don't trade JGP, I'd rather sign him to help along our rebuild. The guy is as clutch as they come and can play all over the line up.
That being said, if we do I imagine it would be something like Puli and a Second. |

I like the Toffoli idea. He would be an upgrade to Chaisson (better shooting skill)
I would love Kreider too. Brings a lot of different tools to the ice. I could see Kreider having more impact than Tofolli.
Per Detroit, Andreas Athansiou might be shopped out too. I like the Ken Holland connection on this one. AA brings elite speed that would pair well with McDavid and Draisaitl. He would also be a great fit with RNH.
I'm keen to wait till the trade deadline. The Puljujarvi situation might move that up.
My trade bait for the Oilers:
- Puljujarvi (the obvious reason)
- Larsson (I'm not 100% sold based off the last season he's worth the money)
- Gagner (Salary is too big for a fringe player)
- K.Russel (I love what he brings to the team in terms of leadership, Salary is the constraint)
-JJ Khaira (Fan favorite, but too inconsistent for a bottom 6 player)
- Yamamoto (I feel he is trending to become the next Rob Schremp) |
