Why? Should have sent them back to Saskatoon and Rockford then, at least they will play 20 minutes a night. Arguably, play your best game of the year against Vancouver and you sit your two best kids the very next game. This organization is starting to look really stupid once again!!

Maybe Mike Smith and Alpo Suhonen are looking for work?

We do not know why they were healthy scratches. But it is good to gain perspective on your own play. This happens from coaches input and or watching a game or two and going over things.

Another point us that a coach should always try to get all his olayers some game action.

One way this happens is that opportunity to play arises out of need to sit a player out. There is no death sentence or long term lack of faith. The two prospects you think maybe need to go back to a lower level of play, are in fact not going there....not yet anyway. They have to grow.

We have to hope Colliton had reason(s) to add and delete for today's contest And after all it was a mild surprise both these kids have been playing here in the NHL with a fair amount of TOI. You can look at the coach's decision as a step forward for these kids.

I personally am cheering for Koekkoek. I like his upside and am glad he is back in there. While he is cursed sometimes for his performance, he had played well for a bit then had some bad games - at least vs the Kings.

That is my read on developments. It does shine a favorable light on Colliton vision for what is best for player s and team. So he is getting a good mark from me here amidst the ire and lambasting usually hurled by posters here.

Konroyd just said aside from the turnover that led to the goal, 4K is playing well. Is he watching the same game we are?

Was nice to see the 4th line pin Crosby's line it their own zone.

I don't mind Dach and Boqvist sitting. They should get a break every so often to assess their play and regain some focus. That's something I think Colliton does very well. Also good for them to get the break on the road as they can get more favorable matchups at home.

Koek has looked like (frank)ing garbage this whole game. Trade him in-game, please.

How is he ranked as a human being?

Also think Kane realized that Murray has been cheating over to play the pass. Buried it short side.

So with the lead, I'd like to see if there is no open lanes or passes dump the puck into the zone, no turnovers in the neutral zone and if course in our own end.

We know exactly why they were scratched. It is part of their developmental plan. Colliton has said a number of times that it is likely that they will sit the rookies periodically through the season so that they don’t get burnt out and that they can watch the game to get better perspective.

maybe i am being to hard on 92...but it looked to me if he gets on his horse and looks to the side he might have been able to defend that pass by malkin to gentzel

Too much Bailey's too soon can make you feel ill as well

Hoping Koekkoek can have at least a small degree of confidance with ice time despite mistake. He has ability but oh how coaches everywhere wish for consistency and growth. He probably won't play much period three if that makes you feel better.

Gus hasn't looked bad, knock on wood. You like Koek, so I'll be nicer with my words.

I know Crosby wasn't on their (there, they're) PP, but that was still one of the best PK efforts I've seen from the Hawks all year.
