Multiple goal lead after 1 for the Devils. The most dangerous lead in hockey.

He definitely didn’t sell that very well. If he just took the hit the refs might have put the Devils on the PP on a boarding call.

Yeah it's amazing to me that the fans are complaining right now. Not calling anything against the Canucks here.

One of those situations where they miss a couple of calls so then they just decide to “let them play” or else whoever gets penalized first will be pissed

Todd,

Can you do an article explaining the goals reviewed so far this season? I am confused at some of the rulings. Starting with the call where the whistle blew but the whistle didnt affect play so it counts. Yet every other time it blew the goal did not count. Tonight I get net moved but clearly off by Vancouver and puck crossed goal line as the Markstrom brought puck across line.

Thank you

And the one before looked like it should have been an icing. Refs were just terrible all the way around.

Answer: It's the NHL. The only thing they're consistent at is being terribly inconsistent.

Refs were terrible today, which shouldn’t be shocking, since they’re terrible just about every game. It seemed to be slanted against the Devils, as it often is, but they also missed plenty of calls the other way.

I just really don’t understand why we don't see Hynes losing it behind the bench a little more. Nearly every game there’s a good reason for him to be berating the ref, but it just seems like he’s accepted the team’s fate. And given how frequently the Devils seem to lose their energy, it feels like continual missed opportunities to try to fire them up a bit.

That said, they didn’t crumble tonight. Small miracles.

I think hynes is over his head, he doesn't seem to know how to get the team going with the talent and higher expectations

The team's record is definitely in spite of the coach. Better coaching would show much different results.
