Back in the moon 🌙 landing days there were mass protests over the cost of it. Governments of course want to be re-elected more than anything so that stopped it in its tracks.
If the world billionaires would get off their wallets and contribute to space exploration we would already be on mars. It’s like climate change, the wealthy talk about it constantly but rarely offer up any cash to help find solutions.

Well back to the generation talk

I think the majority of the very wealthy people just don’t give a (frank), they grew up not having to care because no one did and now they still dont.

The next generation, in all of its flaws should have a good grasp on how important climate change is....we’ll see if it’s too late.

Like Musk, Bezos, and Branson??

I’m fine with them doing it, it does inspire people to challenge themselves. I watch all the rocket launches and try to keep up with the latest plans, I finding it interesting. The first astronauts to Mars will be role models, etc.

People are bored now.

Yeah like those guys. The biggest problem is the large egos involved, hard for them to work together for a common cause.
It’s always new money, too bad the old money doesn’t do anything but stockpile more of it.

I have zero faith in government to get anything right. They go whatever way the wind blows.

I think that mentality is shifting a bit.

Elon makes his patents public so other companies can use it and try to help advance it. They know competition is good for them. They take risks that a company for 30+ years ago never would.

There is a shift in thinking taking place. I think we reached peak capitalism, and now we’re collectively looking to alternative forms of gov’t/production/society.

At this point its still about money, Donald Trump is a symptom of the elites/corporations losing grip. They’re going to lower depths to try to hold onto power.

The issues on this planet will never be fixed though. Costs too much.

A feature of parasitical life-forms (viral, fungal, bacterial, etc.) is the ability to 'launch' themselves in search of new hosts when the current host either becomes too debilitated to support them or it's immune systems make remaining unsustainable.
As planetary parasites we are just beginning to sneeze ourselves off in search of new hosts as Earth is soon to be not viable.

Somehow marincin has found his way back up on the leafs morning skate this morning.

They just cannot get rid of the guy. Waivers mean jack all.

- bryant

Waivers don't mean sent down, clearing waivers and being loaned to the Marlies means being sent down.

Marincin will retire a leaf. One hundred years from now he’s going to be on the greatest leafs of all time list.
I think I saw worse on our last list.

Don't worry, they will have to send him down when Hyman gets back.

Too much money is being spent on changing the direction of the wind.

Nothing will change as long as politicians are beholden to party first and constituents 2nd. Voters interests will continueto be marginalized and people are right to be skeptical of govt.

Absolutely Nothing. The only real benefit of space exploration comes from the piles of money they sink into research and development. The Apollo missions produced countless technological advancements so that you and I could enjoy things like Facebook or if we so choose, Hockeybuzz

Two straight penalties where Islanders players completely kick out the feet of a Florida player, and the Islanders announcers can't believe it and complain nonstop.

The few advances made by the space program (there are a few in medicine), may have happened anyway, and the cost was insane to get them.

Especially considering Nasa is run by ex-Nazi's and the moon landings were elaborate hoaxes perpetrated on the public to hide the real truth that the earth is flat...
