It was the right decision to fire/force resignation Don Cherry.. Starting a sentence with "you people" has a racist tone.

Is he? Partially right and wrong.

You can’t say “you people” it’s a ridiculous term that’s hateful and disrespectful.

A lot of people don’t wear poppies, immigrant or not. He targeted immigrants on a hockey show and he is wrong to do that.

The way you say something is just as important as what the underlying message is.

A simple apology and some bs pc'n and he could have stayed on air.

That's the thing, there was no reference to 'new people.'

If he said, "new people coming to Canada, need to learn about..", that would have been fine in my opinion.
