Sick Poulin goal:
https://t.co/c2NOueJUHX
Up to 16 g, 37 pts in 19 games. Had 27 g, 76 pts in 67 games last year, major improvement from what got him picked in the 1st round. - Tojo.

If Lucic would keep up the no prisoners act I’d gladly take him. When that douche slashed the goalie and Luc just immediately (frank)ed him up was brilliant, how it should always be. - Grinder47

You said they scored 17 goals in the last 5 games, but the last game of that stretch they scored 1, so really it's only a 4 game stretch of "consistent" offense.
You're right, you know more than me. The Wild should just keep doing what they're doing, whatever the hell that is.
My point about Parise and Lucic is that you said Parise is untradeable. Parise is still a good hockey player. Lucic is a terrible hockey player. Parise only costs $2M+ more and his contract is only 2 years longer, ergo Parise is absolutely tradeable. In fact, no player is untouchable and no player is untradeable. Ever. People should stop using those terms.
My comparison between MIN and DET is that both are/were trying to stay competitive when it is/was pretty clear they should begin the rebuild and get something for their aging stars. Look at OTT as an example. They made it to the ECF a short while ago, but it soon became clear that a rebuild was their best option and now look how many draft picks they have in the next two drafts.
Of the FA goalies you mentioned, Dubnyk has just as good a chance of rebounding and being as good as any of those has-beens / never-weres. Or take your pick of any of those goalies and MIN will still suck. - Hockey66
Those “has been or never were” goalies I mentioned:
Greiss: leads the league with a .942 currently and was tied for 4th last year with a .927 (23-14-2 record)
Lehner: .930 last year with a 25-13-5 record and is second in the league with a .934 right now
Khudobin: 11th right now with a .919 and 10th last year with a .923 (16-17-5)
Halak: 11th last year with a .922 (22-11-4) and 13th this year with a .918
Markstrom: 21st right now with a .914 (5-5-3) and 29th last year with a .912
Duby: currently has an .896 (I’ve been watching, many of these goals are bad/soft) and has a .913 last year. He very well might be the new Cory Schneider
Btw I will admit, I watched a lot of Schneider at the end of last year and I thought he would compete with Blackwood and he hasn’t. I was wrong |

He's been a little unlucky, but his expected goals total is still a little under 2 which isn't much (he only looked at 5v5).
Away from the puck, he's by far their worst player and the only forward negatively affecting possession stats across the board.
Bad combo of not scoring, not really creating chances, and being the team's only defensive liability up front. |

Basically Galchenyuk is the worst forward on the team. He is getting crushed in every aspect. Shot differential, scoring chances, expected goals for. He isn't doing anything well. He has a few quotes from Sullivan saying that Galchenyuk just isn't playing the game the right way. Without winning board and puck battles, without getting netfront, he won't get scoring chances and he won't break his slump. Sully wants him to focus on how he is playing as opposed to just focusing on scoring. |

Good info. I think we likely still get a good look at him on this third line since we’ve been rolling our lines and this is a B2B |

Poulin - Tojo.
Thanks for explanation. And pardon, i confused him with his buddy Légaré who went #74... and later start in QMJHL season seems to be semipar till now. |

2 goals at 5v5 seems low. He’s hit a few posts and had what, 4-5 breakaways?
He often just looks lost out there, sorts like how Kahun looked early on |

Wasn't a sucker punch, the dude that got hit even said that. You spear a goalie, anything that happens in the next 60 seconds cannot be considered "suckered". |

Didn't give him a chance to drop his gloves or square up like a man would. He immediately sucker punched him in that face. It was pathetic. Lucic is a female dog, has been a female dog, and will continue to be a useless female dog. Frank off |

He hasn't played well enough to be on either two of the top line and if he isn't going to play the game the right way he shouldn't be up against top competition. I think he will put it together though. He should be a 50/50 possession guy with this lineup. |

Read that, but hey, I didn’t need an article with stats to see that. He’s Ghostchenyuk out there. Dude skates around aimlessly. |

I think right next to winning the thing I'd like to see the most tonight is a big game from Geno. He said he's going to be the 🔥 so hopefully he is the 🔥 right away .. because we should all know by now he's a bit of a head case when it comes to confidence. |

It would suck if he doesn’t start scoring. Even as a rental he probably has no value right now in a trade.
EDIT: I didn’t have huge expectations from him, but I certainly expected more than this. |

I'm giving him until Christmas...if he isn't already gone by then. I'm seeing a lost player with skill and good skating ability when I watch him. |

I'm giving him time. I hate to provide excuses, but Marshall mentions his "setbacks" to start the season. He was hurt early....compounded by some kind of an allergic reaction. His center goes down early while he's trying to adjust to a new team/system. All that being said....(like someone said above) he's definitely the worst forward on the team by a ton.
In his last handful of games he's passing up shots....it would be wise to stop that lol. |

I never wanted Kessel moved, but if there was any truth to him being the one who wanted out then the Pens really had no choice.
I read rumors that the Pens initially wanted Garland as the young player coming back, but decided to go for defense in POJ. Hindsight is 20/20 and while POJ may turn out to be a good dman, I really wish they chose Garland. |

His criticisms are fair. He hasn’t been good and in fact he’s been looking worse as it’s gone on. But to say zero skill isn’t accurate either.
His assist in the Boston game is him winning a board battle and then sending away Geno and Rust
His assists against Columbus: slick backhand sauce to McCann and cross ice through the box tape to tape sauce to Letang
I agree, he needs to be better and he needs a ton more urgency and to bring back the shades of physicality we saw early on. But to say zero skill is not accurate imo |

It’s hard not to like Garland. The kid goes a hundred miles an hour all the time and he’s good at hitting the soft spots in and around the net |
