Hopefully when Laughton returns he can hit the ground running, a 4th line of Raffl-Laughts-Pitlick I think would look really good out there.
If Patrick comes back, where does he go? If he is gonna end up centering JVR and Voracek, that would be a real heavy line. I mean the skill level compared to other 3rd lines would be crazy, but would that line work? - sjk540
I wouldn't expect Patrick to play in 2019. |

9-3 final, Lundqvist thought he was gonna get the night off - ClaudeFather
He actually was off, even when he was on
he also did not finish the game |

Agreed, if we see him at all I think it is after Jan 1. |

I hear you but those other two lines are not clicking at the moment and with G playing well lately I think he can get Jake going. Also, Jakes effort has been great, still some dumb passes but that's what you get with him. - ClaudeFather
I would not label Voracek's effort as great. I think he has another gear. |

Take nothing for granted in this league but this is a game where I'd love to see them route the Sens 5-1 or something along those lines.
Hopefully this isn't a typical Flyers let down game. |

Question: If you could have PK Subban or Shea Weber right now, taking their cap hits and contracts into account, which would you choose? - jmatchett383
I'll take the younger one. |

10-5-3 feels pretty good, man. Considering that difficult road trip to start the year? And recently goin up to Toronto and Boston?
Yeah. Feels pretty good. - Hesh_
Agreed. Hoping for 5-1 game tonight. Let’s stay out of OT and win in regulation. |

I like webers game and what he brings to the table a lot more than pk, but iirc, webers contract is longer etc, and he's older. Also , not sure what the Nmc s are for those guys. Can I say neither? Haha |

Neither is the correct answer. Rather have a goal scorer so we don't have to try to win in the SO |

The question I ask is that, when they were traded (which I think was the same day as the Hall for Larsson trade), people called it a steal for Nashville. However, judging it solely on on-ice performance since the trade, I think Weber's been the better player. How much longer that will continue is the big question given his enormous deal.

It wasn't a Flyers-specific question, just a general which one would you rather have given the option. |

Quick question about tickets - can someone explain how the standing room tickets are sold?
Can you only get them at the box office on gameday? I don't see any available online and I'm hoping they're not just sold out all season! |

Yes. It's an interesting debate. I remember hearing that the analytics guy the habs hired was vehemently against the trade also because of cap considerations.
I don't mind subban but he's very 1 dimensional. I don't like him at that price as I don't think he's enough of a two way player to say he's a top two dman. If he's not scoring like crazy what does he bring?

Well, even if I'm not considering the flyers, I don't want either if I'm building a team. |

Weber's deal was completely front loaded. If the question is who to want TODAY and based on current contract and point in time...Weber is by far the better choice IMO |

Yes, but keep in mind that Weber is 4 years older (34 vs. 30) and has 4 more years on his deal than Subban does (6 vs. 2).
I still think I'd take Weber with the cap rising and with no more recapture penalties to be incurred. |

Sens have beaten some good teams at home. TB, Carolina. Hopefully Flyers aren't looking past them to the Islanders tomorrow night. |

Yeah, but the Flyers shouldn't feel as over-confident as those teams. They've been playing well, no doubt, but they're still an unproven team over the long haul. |

He had 2 2-goal games and then one game he got shutout. |

Sens have been showing some flashes of being a better team this season and we can't overlook them but, IMO, this is a game we should/must win. They don't have a bad line-up but if we play our game (not down to the competition- freaking Hak) then we should win by 2-3 goals in regulation. |

Question: If you could have PK Subban or Shea Weber right now, taking their cap hits and contracts into account, which would you choose? - jmatchett383
interesting question. Weber is 34 and has 6 more years left on the contract with a cap hit of 7,857,143 altho the last 3 years is only 1 million in actual salary (how the hell was this contract legit?)
Subban is 30 with only 2 more years left at 9 million
I mean, just for talent alone I think i lean Weber but the question is will weber be effective ala Chara thru 40 or will his play drop off. at the time of the trade i was all Subban but I think i go Weber even with the contract. its not cut and dry to me tho |
