No idea how this will play out but glad to see the Jespers together. Boqvist has been totally jerked around. He's shown skill and looks good on the eye test. I feel like we are ruining him so hopefully this goes well.

This is what Hynes needs to realize. Great/good coaches put a game plan and style of play based on the players they have. Bad coach try to make players play their way - it's like trying to put poop back where it came from...it doesn't work.

Tried to think of something encouraging or optimistic to say for tonights (or any nights) game and came up with nothing.

Until Coach 'Wilkes Barre' Hynes is removed from his position, this season will be all but over within 2 weeks, and at that point - it'll be too late.

It's why this up and down performances are bad in the long run. IF we kept losing horribly Shero would need to do something. Fire the coach or make a trade. IF we win a few games look like a .500 team (give or take) management stand pat.

I'm thinking Malkin and Guentz solve their chemistry issues tonight.

Also, the Nico line was the only one that looked decent last game, so of course Zacha is dropped to the fourth line. I'm glad Boq is getting a chance but does it have to be at the expense of one of the few guys doing his job this year?

You'd think, but he seems to really believe in Hynes. I'm not overly familiar with the situation but I think Disco Dan outlasted him in Pittsburgh so it's not like he's quick on firing these guys.

I have been trying to hold back on the coach dumping. But I look at tonight's line and say WTF? Granted I am not an NHL coach, but I think I could construct a more balanced and effective lines than these. It's as if they are trying to lose. Why build any chemistry? 🤪
