"Galchenyuk even got a point"? He led ARI in scoring last year while playing a shortened season. I want the kid to catch fire just to see the mental gymnastics this hater has to do. I think he's close, but you can see the frustration in his game. Christmas can't come quickly enough.

I'm going to suggest a novel idea for tonight's game against Toronto.

SCORE THE FIRST GOAL!

Does anyone ever think about the Subban - Weber trade? I always liked Shea Weber and thought he was the better player. Everyone said, "He's not a skater. He's not a puck mover. Subban is the better player. Weber is older. NSH won that trade." Nobody likes a defensive dman that can score. It especially looked like a win for NSH when Weber had that knee injury. I can only imagine where RW fell on that.

Today Weber has 16 points and Subban has five. Weber is on pace to score over 20 goals, again.

For the 3 years directly after the trade, Subban > Weber for sure. Moving forward? I think Subban will have more longevity than Weber in the long run.

I believe Subban has back issues whereas Weber has been featured in a few articles for how he’s adjusted his workout routines for longevity. Subban goes super hard in the gym, probably too hard for his own good at times BUT he was unreal for a few years in Nashville. I think it’s worked out (pun intended) for both sides

I too would love that too but he needs puck touches. He’s not terrible but he’s not great away from the puck, he’s most effective when he’s seeing it and getting his feet going

People are quick to say he doesn’t shoot enough but check out Guentzel on the PP who is always referring. Yesterday he had it right in front of the net and he failed a pass attempt. He’s not brassard 2.0 at all. Brassard was NEVER in the thick of the play during his last stint here. Brassard is now playing in the top 6 of the isles btw

As expected, Blueger to play 3C with Blandisi as 4C. Leafs playing their AHL goalie who has pretty darn good numbers

Don't worry you guys, according to math and graphs the Pens have actually won the last few games.

The funny part is, no one who uses those things to evaluate the game believes that, which makes it such a retarded comment when dummies try to spit garbage like your comment.

Lifted this from Rossi's column. Something has to change here. Some these guys need to score a little for them to remain competitive. Rutherford might be forced into a deal he doesn't want to make if they don't.

Alex Galchenyuk: no goals this season
Brandon Tanev: no goals in the last seven games
Zach-Aston Reese and Dominik Simon: One goal in the last 13 games
Teddy Blueger: One goal in the last 17 games

A lot of guys going cold. Add in Bjugstad and Lafferty, and you have Malkin and Guentzel mainly being supported by Rust, McCann, and Kahun.

That brief period we were healthy, we saw a team where our depth players overwhelmed other teams. But when those depth players are elevated while key guys are out, the team just looks lacking offensively.

I feel as though there’s more articles as a whole, not just RW hockey buzz about fancy stats not winning games.

Well that’s a lie. I truly believe most Staters would rather lose with good “peripheral stats” or whatever they are calling them now days, than win with the Islanders 4th line.

Any time a team wins without great dummy stats people use dummy stats to try and take people down a notch that are happy about that team winning. Any time those same people’s team of choice looses but has great dummy stats they use those dummy stats to boost themselves and that team up.

But I distinctly remember being told in early October that Tanev was the second coming of Bobby Clarke and how dare anyone question his contract!?!?!?!
