I know there are injuries, right now they are in 4th place in the wild card standings, with a legit possibiltybof being 6th in a few days (numerous games in hand over Tbay and the rags)

I'm not sad to see them struggle, but I am surprised. Is it realistic to see them get to far behind and cant dig themselves out ?

They're just 1 100th ahead of the Senators, in P%, and the Sens have a game in hand.

Cherry picking specific points in time to compare the teams in order to support an ever failing argument or being so stupid in citing the numbers that he doesn't know the difference between a hundreth and a thousandth?

Wish the posts had years on them, but it looks like my first posts was on page 11

I just know as a leafs fan i would rather

1. be in the playoffs right now than not
2. have their own draft picks and not kessel
3. be in the playoffs...fcuk me its been 6 years

I was the only logical Leafs fan then....and now.

The funny thing is, Detroit is doing a much better job of it. They are doing such a good job of losing, even that 8 point lead Ottawa has over them is going to be a hard one for the senaturds to wipe out.

I suppose with the lottery, it might not matter THAT much, but you still wanna be Detroit and not ottawa.

averaging 4 goals against a game is pretty impressive. I wonder if ottawa is going to set a post-salary cap record for goals against.

Well yeah...you have Pierre "we're a team" Dorion vs Steve Yzerman.

The sens are going to build a great culture by winning meaningless games and trying thier best to not draft top 2, so they can build a mediocre team

Given the context of the conversation, anyone with a single brain cell in their head would know I meant Detroit, as they are averaging almost 4 goals against a game.

But I'm not surprised you didn't pick up on that, as you don't quite satisfy that criteria.

maybe if you weren't so obsessed with the sens you would have been smart enough to write the correct name......

but I understand your confusion, Detroit and Ottawa are spelt almost exactly the same so even for someone as BRILLIANT as you, it could be difficult.

also, should you really be trashing ANY team right now? I thought the leafs were supposed to be big bad cup contenders.......correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't they currently sitting comfortably outside of a playoff spot, and have given up more goals than all but 3 teams in the ENTIRE league.

If there was any confusing Detroit and Ottawa, it would have nothing to do with spelling. They're both total trash.

Maybe, but they’re doing pretty much as good as the leafs. Lmao

Your team is a raging tire fire of disappointment and mediocrity......with no clear direction on how to fix the disaster.

LMAO, the leafs, who are supposedly an elite team, have exactly 1 more win than the lowly sens (and 3 extra loser points).

You’re right, such an elite team......sens aren’t even close. Hahahahahahahahahahhahaha

yes, after the worst stretch the Leafs have seen in years, the Sens are TWO wins behind the Leafs, and as you say, "loser points".

I'll never understand why people are too stupid to see that they're not really "loser points". Those with shootout wins get the "gimmick points", and the losers retain the points they'd get from what would normally be a tie.

But whatever, the Leafs are going to be a playoff team, likely a divisional seed, yet again, while the Sens sit in the basement, with little to no young talent, a management team too inept to actually attain any decent young talent, and an owner that would probably sell them off if any fell into their laps anyway.

you know, top 5 prospect pool/farm system in the league, but whatever.......if prock says "no young talent", it must be true.

I envy you, it must be so liberating walking around oblivious to reality all the time. you just wake up every morning, put on your little blue glasses, and all of a sudden the fact that the big bad cup contending leafs are actually a train wreck is completely lost on you. I think that guy from the matrix said it best.........
