The "your opinion is different than mine so you don't know hockey" comeback
another classic - Santo_44
If Willie the Floater would really be great defensively, you'd think he'd get a bit more that 33% defensive zone starts..
because the Leafs need some help in their own end for sure.
Fact is - Babcock makes Willie look good by limiting his d-zone time as much as possible.
Nylander is a wreck in his own end - the fact that the helps creating some turnovers in the offensive zone isnt't the same thing as him being good at defending. |

Maybe Max thinks that playing without the puck is still considered offense? |

any play without the puck in any zone that helps get the puck back and going towards to other teams net is a defensive play.
the fact you are willing to remove any plays in 66% of the ice says a lot |

You should check out the audio book. It's narrated by none other than Pierre McGuire. The Finnish pronunciation of little known towns and schools where Kekalainen played as a kid are impeccable. |

You are spewing bull poop man.
You know how Babs deploys his lines in the O and D zones. You are saying I don't watch hockey games..... |

you mean the blatent suckerpunch while having the linesman between them, and the washington player having both hands restrained?
yes, disgusting indeed - gudbranson should get 5+ games (potential concussion bc of these cheapshots).
the spitting is equally disgusting - but let's not pretend that was not a reaction on the dirty headshot.
the washington spitter should get 3 games. - MaximusAurelius
No, Max, they are not equally disgusting. |

i know that Lucas was questioning the importance of a 4th line with a team like the leafs.... (so dumb to even ask that question)
the habs forth line has 21 goals and 57 points... i cant emphasize how much better this leafs team would be if they had a 3rd and 4th line like the habs do.
the players that need to come in have to be like the habs or even the 4th that philly has. grit, tenacity and endless pressure
edit: having lines that can play a 200 foot game will help aleviate the def pressures and are probably easier to aquire then high end def def. |

Just to prove a point, maybe?
If we take away 66% of the ice, take away his 57.3% corsi for and his 53.2 fenwick for %, we can see that Nylander is directly responsible for the teams 87.9 Save% when he is on 1/3rd of the ice?
