Good update! Hope Grubes and Francouz come back strong.

No news on Landeskog and Rantanen..

I think Donskoi, Kadri, and Burakovsky have all done a great job stepping up. Can't give them all the credit but their numbers have been impressive with the increased ice time.
Makar is amazing
If Barrie continues to struggle and ends up underperforming on a contract year, I think it would be great to bring him back. Only issue is we have too many Solid options on D now.

Dont think the Avs will bring back Barrie, they cant afford to sign him with Zadorov Burakovsky and Jost due for raises. He would be a rental on a crowded blue line. I could definitely see the Avs shopping for forward help though.

Do any forwards come to mind? Seems like we have the assets now, but anyone worth acquiring is almost always tagged with a ridiculous asking price.

Look for a team that needs a shake up, maybe there is a fit with Tampa if we need a forward

If you can get Hall signed to a long term contract I think you have to try and get him even knowing it will cost you several 1's, probably at least one second, and then one of Timmons or Byram and then Kaut or Bowers just to get started.

There are still several top D prospects in the system even if they don't have the ceiling of Byram, but it would be hard not to argue that Hall is elite and you could let Burakovsky walk next year to make the cap work. Then let Wilson and Nieto go and fill that from within the organization while getting younger in the process still. After next year the cap is expected to take a large jump and that will let you take care of Landeskog and Makar while Cole comes off the books at that time as well.

The real Math Gymnastics start in 2023 when MacKinnon is due his raise.

I think if we trade for Hall, the consensus will be that we're going for it now. This team can be good for 5+ years or it could be stacked for 2-4. I like Nieto in our bottom 6, Wilson however seems to be having trouble keeping up with our teams speed. In reality, I would be so pumped to land Hall

MacKinnon is going to command top dollar, thank gad that's not for a few more years. But hey, it's safe to say he's a franchise player at this point so pay the man whatever he wants
