Here we go again with the Kucherov crap. That "low bridge" was a failed hipcheck and both players momentum finished the deed. No intent to injure. It was unfortunate. It sucked. It wasn't nearly as dirty as some folks make it out to be.
However, the Cernak hit was head-hunting. Dirty. Filthy. I don't want to see that. Nobody should. If somebody wants to take a serious run at Cernak, I wouldn't object. He has it coming. That hit on Dahlin was chickenpoop. No defending it. He should be suspended.

This joker (Cernak) hit Eichel from behind in the previous game when he wasn't looking and now he hits Dahlin in the head while he is defenseless and looking the other way. He's a cowardly player to take out opponents while they aren't even looking. This is even more true when considering the type of players (skill, not muscle) he is taking liberty against. If the Sabres had an equally physical player who decided to take out Kucherov or Brayden Point, then Cernak's own teammates would take issue with his actions. But, because Botterill built a roster without any muscle there is no fear of retaliation and this situation will only continue to repeat itself. It's sad that Reinhart is often times the Sabres' most physical forward. |

This is what i have a problem with. Bring back the Ray, May, Barnaby 4th line and Cernak would have answered for his cheap shot |

No questions about it, it was a bad hit and was completely avoidable. Should have been a penalty on the ice and refs missed it. There should be a hearing for the hit as the player had the ability to avoid this hit (even if it was at a high rate of speed) and did not causing injury to another player. It is a shame that this happened to Dahlin and it was avoidable, but can we all stop acting like this is on par with the Bortuzzo hit... Cernak made a bad decision to complete that check (which was done with an elbow to head) after dahlin side stepped him in the course of normal play. Bortuzzo tried to put RV in a wheelchair cause he though he embellished the previous hit. This was not in the course of play and bortuzzo wasnt reacting at a high rate of speed which to me means it was done with the intent to injure and in no was can be misunderstood as reactionary. |

The Lightning do this to the Sabre players bc they know that nobody on the Sabres will make them accountable. This sabres team is softer than baby Sh!t |

That's not completing a check.
That's trying to hurt a guy with an elbow to the head. |

This has always been the problem with the NHL's idea of justice:
If a goon takes out a star player, punching the goon in the face a few times doesn't make it even.
If the Sabres got their goon to elbow Stamkos in the head in response, maybe teams would be a little more reluctant to send a goon over the boards to headhunt. |

Mark these dates on the calendar: Dec. 10, Dec. 27, Dec. 29, Dec. 31, Jan. 9, Mar. 9, Mar. 13, Mar. 30. In at least 4 of these games, a Sabres player will be injured by a cheap shot like this, with no penalty called and no response from Sabres teammates. DOPS might hand out a minor suspension or fine, to make it look good. |

This is obviously an elbow to the head of an opponent and he should be suspend for not controlling his body while trying to check dahlin.
I in no way defend the hit but i also think this was not an "intent to injure" kind of a hit. He will get a game or 2 which is deserved but stop acting like he jumped off the top of cross bar and delivered a WWE type elbow to dahlins head. |

I get it. I honestly don't think Cooper or anyone else sent Cernak in to headhunt. I think Cernak did that on his own. Or, at least I hope he did. I will not root for a team that intentionally tries to injure players and tolerates that kind of culture. (Looking at you Marchand and Bruins).
And this discussion illustrates why. If we (the Bolts) start playing dirty, then Stamkos, Hedman, Kuch, and Vasilevskiy all get targets on their backs. Tit for tat starts and games degenerate into dumpster fires of dirtiness and fights.
There should be zero tolerance for this crap. Suspend Cernak and others like him for the remainder of the season. |

You gotta admit though, watching Claude Lemieux get pounded into jelly for the Draper hit was satisfying and it got the point across. |
