Just to be clear, that’s not where I’m going, speculating that an addict tied one on is not cool. What he did on his way off the ice was also not cool, if you want to call out your team, you do that in the locker room. What I will speculate is that the outburst probably did not go well in the room, whether the team deserved it or not. - Angotti
Puck the team. They aren’t giving the effort, get rid of them. A message needs to be sent and I back Lehner 100% on this. They weren’t playing defense in front of him and he’s busting his ass for them. Someone needs to call these boneheads out and I’m glad he did.
Second I wasn’t calling him out for drinking. The phrase was in question. |

So he was embarrassed by his actions and couldn't face his team mates today? Or disciplined by JC for what he did and told to take a day off? May we should just let it be that he is ill and told to stay away from the team. |

In the field of English, I'm the most relaxed. I let a lot go because I'm the typo master. I don't call people out, unless I know the person can take a joke. This isn't the place to correct people anyways. I come here STRICTLY for the sessions on taxes and racism. - I Am The Breadman

The Chicago Blackhawks will be conducting a thorough review of assistant coach Marc Crawford based on the recent allegations that have been made regarding his conduct with another organization. |

Only Kopitar makes comparable money - fattybeef
toews and kopitar got those mega contracts for what they did and winning cups not for what they were going do in their 30's...all nhl contracts if they stay in the league long enough rarely have their contracts correlate with performace. when they are young and playing at a high level they are underpaid when they get the big $$$ they underperform....
its the cycle of a nhl player and most professional athletes...except Tom Brady |

There's going to be a lot of room on and behind the bench tonight with only 17 skaters dressed and one less coach. |

Imagine if Eddie Shore still owned/coached Springfield. Tying his goaltender to the posts so he would learn to stay on his feet

I haven't heard the details, but if all older coaches are judged by today's standards, many will have their reputations sullied. Judge them by the standards in place at the time. |

AWESOME! He’s toast. I read those allegations stemming for a long time. He kicked his players on the bench among other things. Haha McD there goes your hire. |

I know very little about the USHL and the Chicago Steel, but there's a report out that their coach Greg Moore, was hired by the Leafs organization to coach their top farm club the Toronto Marlies.
Anyone know anything about Mr. Moore? I assume he's a capable coach if hired by Toronto. Right out from under the Hawks' nose too. - boilermaker100
Been going to Steel games for 13 yrs now. They were a doormat but USHL hockey was very good, off the charts now. Four yrs ago guy named Larry Robbins bought the club. Forbes has him with 2 billion in his pocket. Hedge fund guy like Mint Robbedme.
First yr took em Russia for a tournament. Hired skills coach Darryl Belfry, same skills coach as Kane, Tavares, Matthews, to name a few. Hired Dan Lehv away from Dubuque where he was part of 2 cup teams to be team prez. 2nd yr won the cup. Head coach Dan Muse went straight from the Steel bench after winning the cup to be Laviolette's assistant in Nashvile. Let the GM go, Bennett, AFTER winning the cup and hired Ryan Hardy away from the Boston Bruins organIzation to GM the thing. He hired Greg Moore away from the NTDP.
Steel were picked to finish 12th 13th after losing so many kids after the cup team. Moore in his first yr took em to the Finals, where they lost to Sioux Falls. This yr he has em at 15-4-1, in 1st, humming along at a .775 clip, and they lead the league scoring 5 goals a game. ............ He goes from behind the Steel bench to running the Marlies bench.
If you are anywhere near Fox Valley Ice Arena and have not seen the Steel you have no idea what you are missing, none, zero, for 10 bucks. Pure speed/skill, all 4 lines and the defense. ...... To answer your question boiler Moore plays a go go go, Dmen jump in, support support support in all 3 zones, attack attack attack style but it's structured, and to me that's the amazing thing. #1 offense in the league, #1 PP cruising at a 30% clip.
Two Steel coaches in 3 yrs straight to the pros, one to the bigs the other to the AHL. Take your family of 4 to the game, see a 1st rate jrs organIzation, kids get to skate with the Steel for free after the game and get autographs, for 40 bucks. |

What were the different standards in the 90s and 00's? That's when most of these guys who are claiming physical and severe mental abuse played in juniors and then, for a few, the NHL. |

Some years from now some Blackhawk will say that coach Colliton bag skated the team in 2019 and ruined his career.

i just don't care to see the entire hockey world now branded as "culture of abuse" after a few guys report incidents about one coach from 5-10 years ago...

If Colliton deliberately put the team in an 11+6=1 short situation by telling Lehner to stay home, that would be worse than his decision to go 11+7 against TBL because he wanted Koekkoek to be able to play against his old team....
I doubt he did this tonite. |

Hope you didn't misunderstand me. I am not advocating JC disciplined Lehner. I just want the speculation about Lehner's absence to stop and leave it at an illness.
