Hawks organization could care less as long as the SUCKERS keep buying tickets for the game and can hope to get their faces on tv. That's all that matters ! Bring back JJ for honest commentary. - GlennL
well you know where he is at posting about once every 4-5 games..drawing zero interest...

Remember when everyone said the Hawks organization would not tolerate losing, Ha , they sure do now!

I hate to say this but I've now gotten to the point where these losses don't really upset me like they used to. I guess it's a kind of acknowledgement that the Hawks aren't going anywhere this season so there's not point it getting upset about it.
I know things could turn around or at least get better but even then - The Hawks can't play with St. Louis and they can't play with Colorado and they needed Vezina level goaltending to beat Dallas. We know the problems they've had with Nashville and they haven't exactly handled Winnipeg with ease either. So - even if Toews all of a sudden turns into the 2018/19 Toews - will it make enough of a difference? I don't think so.
So ... it's the way it goes. |

And the mope known as Jonathan Toews speaking to the media on post-game. Pretty hilarious listening to him. Talking about all the travel, the schedule, all the things every other NHL team has to deal with. Nothing about his lazy penalties, the reaching instead of actually skating, the constant falling down, the palms-up and constant complaining when he's whistled for a penalty or thrown out of the face-off circle.
Yeah, this guys is a great leader.
Sounded to me like a guy whose heart is really not in it.
And it's showing in his play on the ice and his actions as well.
They will be lucky to get to 80 points.
It's looking good for the lottery, where's that lotto ball GIF? |

Seriously? Lamenting that trade? That's the ire? I figured this would no longer be an issue. There is ZERO reason to complain about that deal. Anisimov and his plodding mediocrity would add ZERO to this team. Smith is a fourth line banger, big deal. Many things to complain about, trading Artem Anisimov is not one of them. - kwolf68
It definitely isn't lamenting. I talk about all players, what is good & what is bad. I know what he brings or what he could bring. 4th line is his ceiling. Nowhere did I say in what you highlighted that Arty should be back, not close. Injury plagued this season, which is besides the point. All I said was I don't like Smith. Problems lie deeper than him, definitely agree, & have said so at different times this season. |

Hard to see Seabs appear to tear up when talking about the three horrible games they just played. His body may be giving out, but his heart isn't. |

It is looking that way. Not on the scoresheet too many times, but I really like the way he plays. Do you have a guess on a team that asks & any offers? - I Am The Breadman
I do not like the way he plays. He has all the tools for hockey except between the ears. And while I'm not sure who might want him I don't think the offers for him would be overwhelming. |

He was depressed and said ALL teams have these things and they find a way, and so should the Hawks. Geez, you've got selective hearing. He also said instead of everyone playing alone, they need to play as a five man unit.

I think he might get a good deal of interest (quantity of teams.) I do agree that the offers might not be enough for what we want/need. Definitely a lot of factors would come into play if a deal is struck ... term, cost, retention, production, & so on. |

I loved the physicality Smith played with tonight. Brought a lot of the grit/toughness to the team with Shaw out. |

(frank) that...they just completed 6 of 8 at home and went 2-5-1 scoring more than 3 goals once (4 vs the sabres) |

Just seems to be a puck hog - he's good at retrieving it, but once he has the puck heading up the ice, he hangs onto it. I'm probably missing a lot of details in the plays. |

Waiting for Kane to get a point to extend his streak reminds me of waiting for Sosa to homer when the cubs sucked.
Hawks are fully McDonough-ized - PatShart[/qCD
McDonougjh-ized, eh.
One Goal. Right.
Tonight looks to be no goal(s)
Whiich has to be no good ito his eyes
Remember he said the way the way team is playing was garbage and has to stop.
How painful is Toews decline in particular in his eyes. How much longer can it continue.
Have to believe that McDonough will advise Rocky the choices with Toews contract and Bowman will be a yes man.
Can.only guess but LTINJ appears likely. His playing days may be numbered but he will probably get all the money he earned from three Cups.
Maybe Seabrook can hang in one more season but with what team?

I am not a Cubs fan, but one thing I like about their organization is that Theo Epstein, during the season, makes regular appearances on sports talk radio and meets with the press frequently to address the state of the team.
How I would like McD and or Bowman do that, but not by answering some pre--screened questions from the reporters. It's time for the fans to hear directly from these guys and time for the press to answer some pointed questions as to how they plan to put a better product on the ice. |

May not be everything you're looking for in an interview, but StanBo recently did a two-month "state of the team" checkup with Chris Kuc and others.
