Well since Hall won’t be re signing with the Devils, Toffoli can be had for just a draft pick or 2

You’re welcome.

It's almost like the entire coaching staff is useless.

Once we trade Greene and Vatanen, Tennyson is going to be playing top 4 minutes.

Hall can't even fire a good one-timer anymore. Always a swing and a miss.

No way they make the change with Vegas in tomorrow. Maybe after that.

They'll let the fans boo him off the ice then make a change.

it feels like it just may happen. l hate rooting for the demise of anyone. The longer this lasts, however, the greater the negative impact on developing players. kind of important.

Seriously man why is every one trying to make us even softer. We need more guys with no fear and heart like him not trade those guys away for skillz guys.

The reason we dont win is because we have to many soft skilled guys not because we dont have enough skill.

- Devilish4

That is a poor argument. Grit costs nothing to acquire unless you can put up serious points like Wilson. If coleman can address our need for a 2RW like Kapanen, do it. We can add the scariest AHL enforcers for a 7th rounder. I would sooner keep the rebuild alive, then keep Coleman until he is a 29 year old UFA. If we retain 50%, they guy is 900k AAV. That has to fetch a pretty great return. Time to start thinking about next season. Sell guys while their value is up. I like Hall/Vats/Coleman alot, but I wan't them traded.

they cancelled morning skate and won't make media available until later into the day. Giving them as much time as possible to make a change...

That’s intriguing.

In other news Stefan Noesen signed by Pittsburgh is back in the NHL after putting up 14 goals and 8 assists for 22pts in 22 AHL games.

I had no idea.... I want no part of Babcock

Where was this dialogue when leaving Detroit? Nowhere. This is just selective memory and piling on. Not saying Babcock was right, because he wasn't, but this is just piling on. I would guess for every negative story about him there is a positive one, but the Canadian press wants to help justify his firing and not interested in positive stories right now.

You have completely missed the point. This has nothing to do with enforcers at all not one bit but now all of a sudden anyone over 6 foot tall is a goon enforcer ??? Our top six forward group is tiny and cant get to where they need to get often enough because they are all to small.

This has nothing to do with fighting or sticking up for another this has to do with there being to many guys who get pushed all over the place that are expected to play 18 to 20 minutes a night.

Are the jets filled with goons because their top line center is 6,3 ? Or two of their top six wingers are larger then 6'3. We need skill guys who can get to scoring areas and coleman might not be a top line player he can certainly create chances and offense for himself.

Some seems to think if we get rid of some of the guys who arent the problem like Zacha or Coleman that our skill guys will produce more but I dont buy that if anything our skill guys need to be upgraded to larger versions of themselves.

Im not saying we should be down grading our talent pool but that our talent would be more effective if simple little shoves couldnt knock them off pucks and they could do what they wanted because they arent getting smacked around like flies.

It was so much better when the team was in mtl and Hynes had to answer to the canadian press instead of the bullpoop amanda stein asks...

Yeah Hughes has been making a lot of nice plays from outside of the circles but you cant tell me that isnt exactly where the opposition wants to keep him and that he couldnt be making even more dangerous plays if he was able to play inside those circles more.

Seems the only times we get to that area is on a pp or the odd random Miles Wood break away.

Also funny that both Gusevs beauty assists where to guys capable of getting to the front of the net with stick down instead of slinging it all the way across the the other side of the ice on the outside of the circles.

I would trade hall by end of year at this point. Keeping him till deadline is too risky for an injury to happen. He'll tweak his knee trying to play over his head. This team is finished this year and Haynes should be fired today but doubt that will happen.

Reading pens thread comments and the theme seems to be Shero hangs on to dud coaches way to long ( disco Dan ) so I wouldnt get youre hopes up on a coaching change.

This is kind of exciting, new coach, Hall trade. Lets think of the positives of this.

New coach would probably be better for the players, hence the change.
Another top talented pick
The goodies we'll get from a injury plagued Hall(not signing him will end up a blessing)

Remember how long the sabres were bad. Then they got a handful of top picks and now they are a serious team.

We are almost there.
