I think the main purpose of the rule is so players keep there sticks down.
- pete26

Well they wouldn’t be trying to bat the (frank)ing puck all over the place, so ya.

A stick across the face does kinda hurt, teeth, eyes and such..

of course you still call a high stick to the face, that's not my point. that doesn't change.

my point is players won't pass or shoot the puck 6 feet high on purpose because the rule doesn't exist anymore. it will only speed up the game, and players with good eye-hand coordination will have an advantage maybe once or twice a game.

What if you score and hit a guy in the face in the same motion?

I think you’re missing my point.

More sticks in the air = more injuries.

That would depend on what crossed the line first.

The puck or the head..

no, just the same. just that they wouldn't lose time in video review.

you think players would start shooting 6 feet high on purpose, more than they do now? i don't

That’s possible.

I think what would be happening more is player would be swinging at pucks

possible, since it's now allowed.
but when they realize they get more high stick penalties than goals they will stop very quickly

how many times do we see a player all alone catching a puck 6 feet high to stop an icing or catch a pass. not putting in danger anyone, he's all alone. the puck drop at his feet. now they stop the game for what? good for him!! they just slow down the pace of the game.

anyway, it's 3-1

Hi everybody! It's me, the guy that pete26 always calls a ni....ce guy!

Although some are comparing about KK's play lacking on the offense, I've gotta say, he plays a much more complete game now. A bit nastier, a bit more physical.
Me, I like it.
