Two years from now 6 years, he is already going down from last year so he is depreciating in value. He did as soon as he signed that contract, he was untradeable because no one would take him for that deal.

Anyway, debates are fun. I hope he has a great game and produces tonight like a 9 million player should. The last time he did was against Carolina. When was that?

- GilPerreault11

2yrs from now,
Skinner will be in the middle of his 6th last season on his current contract
So that means 5.5years left on his deal

That makes it pretty hard for us to be regretting his 9mil price tag for 6-7yrs like u said

I’ve been saying the “real football starts in November” since week 3. How many teams start hot and fall flat on their face ? Look at any team sport.

How do Indianapolis Colts and Carolina Panthers fans feel right now ? Those teams were both looking good until the last 4 weeks.

Titans and Steelers have come out of nowhere.

The games carry more significance later in the season and are harder to win then the games at the beginning of the year.

In the NHL, the Blues and Bruins were the two hottest teams from January onwards and played each other for the cup. The Lightning fell flat on their face cause they played a team that was playing for their lives the last month and a half of their season.

- Pegullaville

All false.

The Jets, Browns, Bears and Raiders all had a winning month and will not sniff the playoffs. The titans will in all likelihood fall short as well based on schedule (texans x2, saints, oakland)

The AFC playoff picture has been largely static for weeks and months. 1 spot may change out of 6.

Your November theory is bunk

Let me know if the Broncos rise from the grave

-2yrs from now = 5.5yrs left

There are 2 spots available in each conference. Although unlikely, the Raiders are still in the hunt for the AFC West along with the 6th seed.

Cowboys and Eagles are fighting for the NFC East, which became a lot tougher for the Eagles due to a November loss to the Dolphins.

Rams have a shot at the 6 seed along with the Bears (although like Wetbandit pointed out its a long shot).

Any given Sunday any team can win. It’s not over till it’s over.

Look, you're not entirely off base, you're just interpreting it wrong. It's not that "real football starts in November" it's "the picture doesn't start to clear until November". It's not "real football" it just gives contenders time to rise above the pretenders.

Sure, but any given sunday isn't going to help a team that's out of it to start December, one of the two months that count in your eyes. See: broncos, denver

Also, it's over for them

Yep, those November losses to Minnesota (in which led until 7 minutes in the 4th quarter) and the Bills finished us off. Or else we are 6-6 right now with a fighting chance even with the bull poop luck we had the first 5 weeks of the season.

They were 2-6 and cooked at the end of October

Your own team invalidated your whole premise.

No they won 9 of their last 10 after starting 1-5 and made the playoffs.

How quickly some forget, Luck even won them a playoff game.
