So when is Benning going to ship out some surplus forwards, goalies for more top 6 scoring an upgraded RD. Tanev won't be back next year. Stecher is solid but no star. Expansion draft is next summer so Van can only protect 1 goalie. Jackets need an experienced #1 goalie and more scoring now or it's looking bad for their GM/COACH future. They are below average with Werenski who is now injured for at least 4 weeks.

So Markstrom, Stecher, Virtanen and Goldobin for Seth Jones. Jones is 25, has a manageable cap hit for 3 years and has Norris trophy skill. It immediately upgrades Vancouvers D, especially with Edler hurt again.

Gaudette with Sutter and a prospect for unhappy Buffalo RD Ristolainen. Flip Risto to Wings for 25 year old power fwd Anthony Mantha. Mantha is a pending RFA so he is hungry and should be thrilled to escape rebuilding Wings.

To be fair, that must be a TERRIBLE job. Imagine having to compile all those schedules, with all the stadium requirements/programs, and not make it too terrible for each team, but each team hating parts of their schedule? Do not want that task.
