Outside of marner thing, which marner was accepting of his apology and moved on, and the stuff from Detroit many moons ago...what has he done not to ever be employed?

Criminal behaviour is not allowed (unless it is the players doing drugs and stuff lolol). Is yelling at people allowed? Is a coach allowed to yell at players who don't seem to be getting the message? When I read this I think of zaitsev. Maybe babcock destroyed his confidence and turned him into someone who didn’t believe they could make passes so kept throwing it off the boards and out. Maybe that was the personal reasons why he wanted out of Toronto. He was a better player when arrived with the leafs then when he left.

Also maybe marincin won’t be as bad under Keefe. He seemed to play fine in the ahl and also at the worlds last year. Maybe it is that fear of making a mistake that franzen talks about.

Much ado about nothing - but apparently Babcock was 'a really bad guy'.

Marner (from nhl.com):

A report in the Toronto Sun over the weekend said during the 2016-17 season, Babcock asked a rookie to rank his teammates from hardest-working to least hard-working and that the coach, in turn, told the players ranked at the bottom of the list. That rookie was Marner.

"He did apologize after, and I think he knew he was mistaken," Marner said, "but for the three years I was here after that situation, especially my second and third years, he really trusted me out on the ice and I think you could see that.

"I felt that he had the trust in me to put me out there in situations he didn't in my first year. I had a pretty good relationship with him at the end of it."

Marner said Babcock's explanation at the time was he was simply trying to motivate him. Marner also said he was fortunate he could discuss the matter with the teammates involved with no ill will harbored.

Not only are players speaking for themselves, they are speaking for many teammates as well.

The O dog said he made a call to 5 separate players after the Marner incident and they all said he is a bad person.

This isn't just a few people....It is a whole hockey community speaking out.

Marincin never should have played. But babs played him.
Plus what franzen said was a 6 years or more ago. Could have changed.
He played gardiner a lot, who was perfectly comfortable making mistakes
