Makes you wonder what the hell the coach sees where he gives him the most 5v5 ice time last night, and thinks a pairing of him and McCabe is a good idea.

Yeah Kong, time to start leaning on the players who are gonna be here, confusing sometimes.

This is not a surprise as the overwhelming majority of coaches always go with what they think is the safe play. Always frustrating.

This is really what concerns me the most. Night after night we see that the players that had the worst statistical nights are the ones getting the most ice time. Didn't Ralph tout himself as someone that was into the numbers? We've got 3 bad defensemen playing big minutes every night and we have perfectly good alternatives for each of them. And that's not even counting what they've done to Dahlin....

He's far from the only coach to do this, but that does not make it any less maddening.

Frustrating watching McCabe lose the puck battle at Center ice and then let the guy he loses the battle with beat him to the net.

Risto. He isn't killing us like the other two are but I'd still move him or play Pilut instead of him in a second. It boggles my mind that he is back on PP1.

AA worries me a bit, never into the 50 pt level, I know he is on a poopty team and +- doesn't matter...but holy crap -31 so far....he could be 2x Risto's Green Jacket run.

54 points last year. 30 goals. +/- on a poopty team isn't reliable

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard a take as warped as “the announcer said he had a really good game, so he’s insinuating he rarely has them”

He has definitely looked better during the last stretch and I think what we are seeing now is the best Risto that we're going to see. When I watch Joker play I see everything that Risto isn't. Joker is excellent at keeping puck in at the blue line and making really creative plays during transition. His head is always up and looking to make a play. We all know that Risto will get his points but he will never be that kind of playmaker.

Coach sees "veteran presence" on the ice and the locker room. Same with Okposo, Larsson and a few others.

Can I just say how sick I am of hearing about the "veteran presence" that Okposo and Sobotka bring to the team?

As if it does anything to help us at this point. We have 24 year old veterans at this point.
