Or it could be another example of a 29 year olds production falling off a cliff.

Hence why you don’t give long term deals to players in UFA.

- Pegullaville

It is really something that people don't want more out of players. We all now players go through streaks. But when it starts affecting wins or losses it hurts the team, can make or break a playoff season. And I now it's should not all be on said players, but that's what they make a living doing.

We can post about the other 3/4 of the roster that is underperforming also, however it’s the “core” players that will be here beyond this year that I want to see lift this team to new heights.

Edmonton’s star players are carrying that team.

Boston’s star players carry their team

No Crosby ? No problem. Malkin and Guentzel and Letang are carrying the mail.

Skinner scored 40 last year but was on pace for 70 at this point last year. His lack of production the second half of the season and our goaltending falling off a cliff were two major reasons we had the worst record January on.

You mean as stated in the very same paragraph that said poster quoted. The Islanders have been winning the whole time despite the slumps. The Sabres have not.
- Pegullaville

Yeah interesting, nice to have some depth scoring, which the Sabres don't. So it makes it even more obvious when said players do slump.

Not necessarily, the Islanders are bottom 6 in the NHL for goals for.

Defence wins.

Brett Murray might earn himself an NHL contract.
- Pegullaville

He has a ways to go in his development but he's trending nicely this year.

Johansson is the big surprise down in Rochester, he's been very good.

Sabres 3rd rd pick this year Erik Portillo made team Sweden for the world juniors. He has had a solid year for Dubuque in the USHL, 2.12 and a .909.

Most points for a #Sabres skater in the team’s first 29 games since 1979:

1. Pat LaFontaine (‘92)- 52
2. Pierre Turgeon (‘89) - 44
3. Dave Andreychuk (‘92) - 40
4. 𝙅𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙀𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙡 (‘19) - 39
5. Gilbert Perreault (‘83) - 38

It is my friend, thank you very much.

I tore my rotator cuff so it needed to be repaired and reattached. I had a bone spur on the tendon that in part caused the tear. The recovery process is 4-6 months and I start PT in January.

There is an overwhelming group of sammers who defend everything about his play on this board.

Guy has 1 goal in 11 during a slump- nope points in 110 of 150

Guy is on the pp1 and its terrible- nope not Sam's fault

Guy is slow and cant create on his own- so what if he was picked #2 it was 6 years ago.

Guy picked 1 pick later has 52 points to his 22. So what, must people on this board wanted a sam. We took the good Sam, imagine if we picked Bennett. He plays with McDavid.

Guy picked 179 picks later in the same draft has more points on the same line as a rookie. - eichel looks to his left more?

Expecting more out of a "core" player is frowned upon here.

Olofsson will have more points than sam this year.
Yes a 7th round pick and a rookie looks better than sam.

I am still in the sling. Fortunately, I had only one tear. Did you tear the rotator cuff and bicep tendon? How is your PT going? I'm just doing some home exercises for now. Lots of ice and ibuprofen. The first week after surgery was tough, lots of pain but it's getting better every day.

Thanks clown.

A healthy Tiger is very dangerous, could be a big year for him.

FWIW I like Skinns and Sam. Watching a few of the games they need to shoot more, stop with that extra pass. I heard on one pp the other night they made 18 passes and got only one sog. Special teams are bad this year, gotta be coaching.

Yes both front and one back, yeah had the bicep reattached, they went through my armpit for that, had to move it back in place it had moved. PT is going alright, a lot of stretching exercises, haven't started any resistance movements yet. They said that will start in mid December. Taking longer than I expected, but the Doctor said 6 months. Yeah first week was hell, trying to sleep with the constant ache. Hope everything goes well, don't get frustrated, and don't try to force it, just makes rehab tougher.

I'm confident that I will be 100% and the doc thinks the same. It will take time but I'm doing fairly well, only been 3 weeks, had the surgery Nov 12th. Yes, sleeping has been difficult, slept the first week in the recliner.

Good luck in your recovery.

My stepmother had that surgery. The recovery is a female dog. May your recovery be swift and your drinks tall 👍

Chris Simms faced months of abuse for having Lamar Jackson as his #1QB in that draft. Safe to say he is sitting pretty now.
