The officiating, like what has been all season, was horrid! I thought the Wideman affect was over years ago. Also, get the hell out of the way of the play. When is the NHL going to reward good officiating and punish poor ones?

Missed the game but the results are encouraging. The more you think about it Monahan on the wing makes good sense. Most centres in the league are either playmakers or defensive specialists while your premier goal scorers are on the wing. Not saying monahan is a premier goal scorer but that’s style of player he’s developed into. Also playing the wing will relieve him of some of his defensive responsibility to allow him to be more offensive and reduce the wear on his hands from the damage he’s taken on the face offs over the past few years. Lastly if the coach continues to roll these lines and it works I wonder where Bennett and czarnik slot in when they return from the IR.

Nah, time to admit that we take a lot of undisciplined stick infractions. poop was fishy for the first few years (went from least penalized to most) but our guys need to adjust.

Hanifin call was weak though.

Don't think he's practicing yet. Doubt we get rid of him (at least I hope not). We'd have to sell low, and he provides much needed grit to our lineup.

Talk is he is due back Dec 10th. Dont see the Flames moving him unless the offer was decent. His salary is bang on what he has been producing & there is still upside with him. Why take pennies on the dollar for him when he makes a great top 9 forward.

If I was BT, I'd be listening. I've given up hope that he'll ever be a top 6 player...and I'm thinking he might be a 4th line energy guy.

For the right price sure, but rumour has it Tre has laughed off every offer so far because they have been lowballing him like crazy. Now it's possible that Tre values Bennett way too highly, but I doubt it.

Bennett's contract is right where it should be and he is a valuable top 9 forward on any team. Sure the dream of his projected production is likely dead but he is still a very useful player.

Sûre trade away a player that plays with grit. We have to stop worrying where he was drafted and be happy with what he brings to the ice. He's one of our better ppayoff performers.

If we end up a seller come the trade deadline there wont be many untouchables if the price is right. Benny has been one of if not our best forward in the playoffs he has been part of and teams will pay up for that.
I dont want to see him moved either but if the price is right....

Not saying trade him but I wouldn't be opposed for a good offer. Yes, he's gritty and he has preformed well in the playoffs playing an extremely physical game...which is nice. But I think the ice tends to tilt the wrong way when he's out there...and he takes a lot of penalties. If someone calls, maybe BT should hear them out.

Please someone take out that toothless baby’s head off! Talbot was way out of position on the first one.

A 4th line of Rinaldo-Bennett-Phillips would be pretty interesting.
