Rick James would have never been in the Mynah Birds with Neil Young if he hadn't been a draft dodger

...x2

again I didnt watch..but a cursery stats look.
first 2 perionds were fairly even, corsis, xgf, HD stuff

3rd period was pretty much nucks.

the "expected goals" was 2.44 - 2.42 ...pretty close
HDCF was 8-8

Good late game road win ..onto the next

That's pretty much what happens every game league wide when the team is down. Nothing to see here.

Look at the Yotes vs Flames game last night. Same shenanigans.

Hope the Leafs end Calgary's 6 game winning streak tmrw night!

just looked at that game.

that was a thrashing by the Yotes, basically all 3 periods..but the score
yotes 73-43 corsi
yotes xgf 2.5-1.33
yotes shots 46-25

high danger 11-9 for the flams
score 5-2 flams ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Exactly. The breakaways you hate to see, but VAN was pinching like crazy and all but one happened to Muz and Holl, and they didn't have a great game.

Outside of that, we clean up our third just a bit and play that type of game last night, we'll win 75-80% of the time.

1st period was also slanted towards the Leafs' net.

That's basically what I was saying at the end of the last thread.

The other teams' goalie is also making some very good saves. Last night we had 9 High Danger Chances to the Canucks' 8. It was an open affair.

Andersen had 4 breakaways against yesterday which is not acceptable; we need to clean that up. We also had some obvious breakdowns here and there, but all teams do.

The Leafs don't have great defense - everyone knows this - but the story is just so pronounced that we're forced to pretend that the purpose of an NHL goalie isn't to make good saves.

"If it wasn't for Andersen . . . ." That's literally his job and why he is paid $5 million dollars. Because he's really, really good at his job.

Similar to the Habs and the preposterous argument that "if it wasn't for Price . . .". there's a reason they have opted to dedicated 1/8th of their cap space to him. He's a vital part of their winning formula in the estimation of the management team.

I share your pain, Zazzie.

Found out last week a girl I went to public school with died (don't know the details).

I have not seen her since high school, yet I am oddly shaken by the whole thing.
