Eh not a fan of either name for new team plus if COL offers Byram in a deal for Hall, COL easily gets him. Oh Isles not gonna trade high assets while knowing he's there target in off-season

Personally , I want the Emeralds or Mets , it would distinguish themselves from the nautical themes of the other Seattle teams....

If it’s the Kraken, then the AHL team in Providence needs to affiliate with them and become the Cthulhu.

I am unsure about this name. Detroit already throws octopus on the ice for their playoff games. They also come out from underneath one. What are the Seattle fans going to throw and under what mascot are they going to come out in?

There was a quote from Sakic recently where he made it pretty clear that he’s finally happy with his d-prospect pool and doesn’t plan on trading Byram or Timmins. He also refused to trade the 16th OA last draft when Newhook fell to the Avs so I doubt he’d be going anywhere either.

Rumor around Denver is that Sakic’s offer was Helleson, Kaut, and two 1st round picks, one of which is conditional.

So Ron Francis gets to go to the expansion draft to fill his Krakken?

Why are so many journalists pushing so hard for Hall to the Avs? Just because the Avs have cap and prospects doesn't mean that have to trade for him. I see no need for the guy in Denver. He had one, it was a very good one, year and did nothing before that and nothing after. He would be a depth add to that group of forwards. His price is way too high for a depth add. Landeskog, Rantanen, Donskoi and Burakovsky are just fine. In fact Donskoi looks like a steal so far. The Avs don't need him. The plan with the Avs is to contend for years and I see adding Hall as hurting that plan.

Also Hall has horse teeth.

I don't expect Byram, but if Timmins isn't at least involved its a HARD pass on any other offer

I honestly don't expect the Avs to win a bidding war if the Devils are looking for one or more current roster players but in terms of futures it's actually not that bad of an offer.

Helleson = Avs' 2nd round pick from 2019
Kaut = Avs' 1st round pick from 2018
plus at least one more 1st

Kraken is a mythical sea monster off Scandinavia. Not Seattle. Sockeyes’Totems, and Chiefs make a little more sense. Did that name come to you in one of your E4 dreams?

Since the Seattle Metropolitans already won a Stanley cup... I am guessing that is the one they run with.. no? Give them a Commemoritve Banner from 1917 ... they can even have the second ugliest retro jersey in the league.
