Not sure why? They haven’t won since 67, most people that watched them win then are so old they can’t afford to go to the game. Don’t get it, is the new generation of Leaf fans just a bunch of sheep? Really what’s the gimmick?
Now the Mighty Flames won in 89 only 30 years ago. Most fans still in their prime, fit, able to think on their own. We’re not cheering because grandpa was a Flames fan, we’ve actually got to witness success.
Is it the uniforms? Canada- Maple Leaf? Lots of people like the colour blue? Cause as far as I can tell it’s not based on glory.

Because the sushi at the games is fantastic.

I just wish the game wasn't so noisy - it's hard to do business deals with the swishy-swishy of skates on the ice, and the bangity-bangity of sticks on the black disk.

Ek has the Flames tied to Hall, so let’s be honest it won’t happen but for fun what would we have to give up to make a deal? Not allowed to use Johnny!!

That's the thing when you face western Canadian teams, it's such a big deal to them that the Leafs visit and they get that extra media coverage. Meanwhile it's as exciting to Leaf fans as facing Nashville.

1-way rivalry with Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver.
