Welcome back. The Kings are where they need to be in the standings. And are a improved team. Playing better hockey than last year. And most certainly more entertaining. But the end goal is still a top 5 draft pick. Quick has been quite better as of late. Which is good for him. Im not sold on LA moving Quick. I think Campbell might be the one moved. And Toff has been increasing his trade value which is nice.

Good points, man.

Actually, you make a lot of sense regarding Campbell...

If Toff keeps playing how he is, he might be able to bring back a nice little return (picks/prospects) that they need for this rebuild.

I think Toff gets a 2nd and a prospect. or a 2 2nds or 2nd and 3rd. and if some team calls rob and offters a first. hes gone before rob can hang up. Unless Toff keeps stepping up. Then value just goes up.

This year I've been able to watch the game from start to finish and be disappointed but encouraged that they're working out the kinks. Last year I could barely make it through the first period without having to switch to something else and come back to the 3rd or just wait for the score to show final on the app.

If anything that just says alot about how out of touch the players were. And the level of disinterest they had. Atleast this year its a new coach. Who seems to be a little fun. And is giving people long stretchs of games to see if they work in certain roles. And we are seeing alot of kids get some playing time which is whats needed.

I think there’s a lot of truth to this. I remember the “Black and White” video where Kopitar and Brown talked about how McLellan/his system coming in was like a breath of fresh air and that it was exciting to start learning it and working on executing the plan.

I think these guys have just felt stale for a long time and they’re finally getting the dust knocked off.

This reminds of of the late 2000's Kings, when we had to be patient with the Kopitars and Doughty's of the world...

They are going to take their lumps for another year or so, but they have a TON down on the farm that is almost ready to sprout eg. Turcotte, Kaliyev, Kupaari, Thomas to name a few..

The Kovalchuk signing made absolutely no sense, and definitely hamstrung the process from moving forward a tad quicker..

But take heart Kings fans there is a very bright light at the end of the tunnel..

I haven't minded watching this team. They've been in most games with a few exceptions, and their defense is definitely being baptized by fire. Lizzotte has been my most favorite kid to watch; he's everywhere, all over the puck, on the forecheck, on the backcheck, getting through people, out battling much bigger defenders, just outstanding! Kempe has been the most frustrating to watch but I think it's his demeanor on the ice more than anything... never seems to embrace his teammates on a goal, either his or theirs. I don't think the Kings will be getting a ping pong ball at the draft, probably settle in somewhere between 20-25th place when the final bell rings.
