82 goals for in 20 games. Extrapolated over an 82 game season, that's 336 goals. Nowhere near the 83-84 Oilers - 446 goals for. Yeah, doubt that one will ever be broken. But last year, Tampa was top team with 325.

54 goals against in 20 games. Extrapolated over an 82 game season, that's 221 goals against. Hold on to .HoHo.'s hat - that would have been the 5th best GA in the league last year. So for those of you who are saying that the Leafs are giving up too many goals under Keefe, it's simply not statistically accurate. In fact, it's wrong.

Goal differential: it would be +115 goals. Last year, Tampa was tops at +103.

But the numbers are startling enough to force even Drunken Canuck and other haterz to admit that something pretty special is going on here.

Both Tampa and Leafs have been very solid in the past month. At the same time Ottawa has dropped to where they belong. Unfortunately for the Sens regardless of how many good assets they will get in the upcoming draft, they are still owned by Eugene Melnyk. If the Sens are fortunate enough to win the draft lottery, I could picture the sour look on Lafreniere's face being far worse than that of McDavid's when Oilers won the lottery in 15. I would take it a step further that top pick the Sens get may refuse to sign with or demand an immediate trade as Lindros did years ago.

Last time I checked Boston was 6 points up on the Leafs and 4-1-5 in their last 10 games while Leafs were 9-0-1 (BTW Sens were a putrid 3-4-3)
