From the last thread....

They need a 30 goal scorer, I know some people didn't like Kessel, but to lose a 30 goal scorer in Phil and a 30-40 goal scorer in Jake in the same season is too big of a hit, especially with our injuries.

Personally, I don't think they'll be able to replace Jake. I think they'll get a lesser player or two and let their good depth fill in the rest. It's encouraging we have players like Kahun and Tanev filling in. Hornie too.....he's playing well since returning.

I'll also be interested to see if Bjugstad can get going. I've been wondering if he's had his core problem since the beginning of the season. Hopefully that's the case, 'cause he was mostly crap since the start of the season. I'd love to see Bjug, Simon and Hornie line again.

Palmieri would be a guy I'd love if Shero is willing to deal with us.

Kreider, Toffoli, Saad, maybe an under the radar guy like Evan Rodriguez

I guess I don't think of those as big name players. For me "big" would be someone like Patrick Kane and the ilk.

Johnson truthers are a weird bunch.

So ppl who think JJ sucks but are tired about hearing about how much JJ sucks are truthers now?

That was a pretty gut wrenching game last night. Especially Genos penalty. But you win when you don’t deserve it and lose when you deserve to sometimes. Jarry stole us that game, hence why he is starting.

Sid returning will be huge. But we need a proven goal scorer ASAP to lighten the load AND also a buy low scenario like swapping Galch for Anderson. He’s a big beast who mostly plays 3rd line right wing. He burned the pens a few times last 2 years. Would be good in playoffs for bigger teams like the caps and he can skate, shoot, etc.

It’s impressive how many good players have came through Ottawa over the years. If only they could have everyone’s prime years lineup at once. They are like the Pitt pirates of the nhl. A major league farm team for the rest lol

Who the (frank) are JJ truthers? Good lord. We all know what JJ is. He should be on the bottom pairing on defense but never have I heard that he should be getting top minutes or be with Letang.

Gonna take a lot more than Galchenyuk, he just scored 27 goals last season, is only 25 and under contract

Inter-divisional trades do happen from time to time but are so rare that I never think that the Pens are going to get an impact player from within the Metro.

Anderson has one season above 30 points, and 4 points this year, and they have a better version of him coming up the pipeline. The only advantage he has over Galch is he will be an rfa at years end. Anderson isn’t a game breaker just a depth guy that surprises you every once in a while.

The only reason this would never happen is because they are in the same division. And the grief between pitt/cbus

That's kind of changed over the years hasn't it? Craig Patrick did significant deals with both the Flyers and Rangers.

I've read that Shero and JR are on really good terms, but Ray isn't a fan of the rest of the Pens hierarchy. I don't see him helping the Pens.

People mention Krieder... I don't see them send him here either.

I'm a fan of Andersons but I doubt they trade with the Pens. Especially not for Galch. Interesting thought tho. I like his style.

As Boyd and others have pointed out. All of Letang's issues can't be blamed on JJ but RW loves to bash him.

Letang looks exhausted. That or he's battling injury or an illness. He looked like someone drained half of his blood last night.

They need to get the best winger that fits our style/system. And yes I'd take Palmeri. He's got 8ES and 8PP goals. He'd fit perfectly on that LW PP and help ES as well. Him or Toffoli would be good to grab as a right handed shot. Then Kreider or Saad.

Then if we aren't getting these inter division guys Toffoli and Saad should both be the target, but we'll probably get some off the wall trade lol. I do like Palmeri/Krieder as additions though.

I just read the Flyers were scouting the Pens vs. Panthers. Weren't they exploring a Ghostibere trade recently? I'd trade Murray plus a prospect. I mean, shoot glove side on him and we win all day.
