With the West looking the way it is, I try and keep up to date on all teams close to the Canucks

The Lindholm/Hanafin for Ferland/Hamilton has been a good trade for both teams. Even though Ferland is gone, Hamilton has been great. Lindholm grew into the high 1st round draft pick he was supposed to be. I liked him in Carolina and still follow him when I can catch your games. I'm not sure that Hanafin's ceiling is any higher than his current level. For your sake I hope I am wrong.

Keep an eye on those Canucks, games in hand, wins could push them to the top.

i imagine they cool right off after the bad loss last night. losing 9-2 is equally as impressive as winning 7 in a row.

Yup. About bang on where I thought this one would end AAV wise, but to get 6 years is pretty ridiculous... best RFA guy in the game

Hope you guys are right.
He seems to hold his own on the top pair but not really excel. Everyone is so high on him but I don't see how he's proven himself for a long term contract

That's like Gostisbehere money and he had 17 goals in his first 60ish gamed

Looking at some of Calgary's UFA signings, IMO, this is where the Flames should be taking a bit of a risk. He looks like he'll be in the top 4 on a full time basis very soon, plus the cap is going to go up when the new TV deal kicks in. If he turns into a top pairing Dman, it'll be a steal.

I think once he gets a little more confident we will see him develop more offence.

The one thing I love about the kid is he is always one of the first in the scrum to defend his own team mates.

Always going to the a group of negative whiners. How is 4.55 for a young top 4 d man not a good contract. He’s only going to get better.

What’s the status on Valimaki?

Love the Ras contract.
Will be next to imposiible to fit both Hamonic and Brodie in our cap next year.
Vali had ACL surgery mid August I believe. Recovery time is estimated at 6-9 months.

He's definitely more well rounded than Ghost, and like Duran, I'm perfectly happy with what he's brought so far and how he will develop moving forward.

Now that BT has some cost certainty would like to see him add a Dman with term to help replace either or both of Hammer and Brodie. All that's left for him for RFAs are Mang who should be less than 2 million and Kylington at less than 1.

Instead of going after another d would rather he sign Hammer. Brodie has played well as of late but doesn't bring any physical element to the team.
