I like competitive games, which I think they have been for the most part this year. However, l'm not heartbroken over losing a bunch of 1 goal games hopefully ending up with a top 5 pick in the draft this year. Would love a shot at #1 but with the new draft rules even the last place team only has a 18% of getting the #1 and with the Kings draft order bad luck I'm not holding my breath for anything better than 5th. |

Yeah, I want them to lose, but not be blown out or boring to watch. If every game is close and competitive but they lose by 1 goal in regulation, that would be ideal for me.
As pointed out, the draft lottery takes some of the fun out of tanking, but finishing 2nd-worst, like last season, still guarantees a top-5 pick in the draft. What would not be desirable is to win just enough games to finish 5th worst and potentially drop to the 8th overall pick and miss out on the top tier of draftees. |

Just wondering how Sean Durzi is progressing? Has he been up to the big club yet? Was considered a top prospect at the time of the trade, but I've lost track of him. |

No he hasn't. He was out with an injury for a significant stretch earlier this season, but has since rejoined the Reign. There's a Reign season ticket holder on the Kings blog that provides updates on the prospects every once in a while. He reports that he does some good things with the puck, but his defense needs some significant work before he is ready for the NHL. He projected that Durzi needs another full season of work in the AHL before he'll make the team. 2021-22 debut. Possibly the end of next season after the deadline. |

Thanks for the update. I'll continue to watch. Cheers to your folks in the rebuild. Every team has to go that route every so often. |
