Curious. With the Hawks not really playing Crawford as much and Lehner more if this is kind of Crawfords last year and he will retire? Just really kind of thought about it since he hasn't been playing as much minus the time when Lehner was out for a short bit, but just wondering is all. Maybe he has more head issues than we know about and has told the hawks not to play him as much. Could this be true? - Ryno_Resumes
Someone answered your question earlier today with some quotes by Crow. Says he's playing next year and doesn't want to be a backup. |

Any chatter going on as far as trade rumors there been a lot speculations on who might or might not be traded? Crawford and saad names keep coming up so what kind of trades could we possibly see with those two.
Crawford to Colorado for bryam and 3rd or to Toronto for ceci and kappean hawks of course would have retain money and Crawford have to approve the trade. What about trading both goalies and going with lannkian and delia and see what hawks actually have in those two. I see saad going to the east boston or pitt buffalo or phily be the teams I think make the most sense. Thoughts? - Scott1977

Not sure why people ask Tyler if he's heard any rumors. He seems to be a diligent and reliable person; so I think he'd let us know if he did have any info. - mohel
Impatience, and the assumption (considering the current state of the team) that they will not make the playoffs.
Oh... that was a rhetorical statement. |

As much as I throw around trade proposals as much as the next guy, unless someone blows Stan's socks off with an offer, I can see him sitting on any trades until he and th front office decide the playoffs are no hope. |

Bowman would like to move a goaltender but of course team had to be out of playoffs contention. Do maybe a netminder is dealt this summer. But I doubt we can expect much in return There are two reasons why: 1) Crawford would be the goalie moving because he is older, injury concern, not worth paying big coin to a veteran to share net and; 2) Lehner looks like the real deal. He has a great attitude, which helps as he tends net behind an evolving defense. The defense is not too good as a group but should become better or more efficient with kids taking jobs and improving. The coaching needs to improve and I mean Colliton
Anyway to pay higher salary and have cap flexibility Bowman should move out Crawford salary, Saad too as there is replacement for Saad and soon. Kuraseav, Entwhistle and Hagel plus Highmore us going to give the bottom two lines energy and compete plus they will be hungry and improving. Nice blend if speed and smarts and toughness. They will actually drive or embarrass too lines when veterans snooze or are ineffective - yes sometimes especially early each season this means Mr Toews.
You let Crawford sign as free agent if you cannot trade him to a team he approves. Give him the respect but respect is also in the fact that you no way let a top goalie leave - Lehner of course.
I think you are way over estimating the value Crawford had on the trade market. I would like to see Laakinen okay since perhaps he is NHL ready. The Chicago press had a story about Delia recommitted but I like Laakinen better. And I am curious if Gravel might be pretty good. Delia may find another team as it may turn out eventually.
I do not see Bowman willing to outbid other GM's so I doubt he dies anything significant other than the players we all talk about Gus, a giaktender, Saad, Smith
Trading Saad now is when his value is highest, ad had been explained in this blog. A #2 for Gus is fair but please 2929 which us a deep draft. |

Both Goalies are UFA after this year, so if a goalie is to be moved, it will have to be done by the TDL.

Tuuka Rask takes a hit to the head against CBJ and is pulled from the game. He was able to skate off under his own power and is probably under concussion protocol. |

2 Questions
Are slow starts on the coach ?
Is it my eyes or does Boquist need work on his skating? Seems guys skate past him a lot. |

If Babcock was the Hawks coach, Smitty would have been scratched tonight. |

Had a feeling the HAWKS would be looking past Ott at Montreal and Toronto . Little bit of a hole to climb out of now . |

Players are running the show. Time for some major moves, McD down to the assistant coaches. Even some players. Need to wake this team up. |
