You guys see Marchand miss the puck to start his shoot out attempt last night? hahaha - MattStrat
That's one of those moments where, for 99.99% of the population, you say, "you hate to see it". But then you see that its Brad Marchand, and instead, you just smile. |

Anyone else paying attention to Kovy in Mtl?....could of been a Pen for 700k. Right shot for PP and winger for Sid or Geno. He still has it and I feel the Pens missed the boat on that one.
Dont want to hear any "how do you know he'd of even signed with Pens"...because some things you just know..also, that 700k is really like 350k in Quebec after tax. Whats the tax in Pitts like? |

I think I would of laughed at it no matter who it was...but perhaps a tad more because it was him/a Bruin. |

Awesome, thank you! Now if we snag him in a trade and want to add another winger that would have to be a rental correct? Thinking about next year's cap. I feel like Pens should make Rakell #1 and Zucker #2 if possible due to the cap hits.
Edit: Obviously if they wanna make Toffoli the rental grab it would make more sense to get Zucker. - 668710
If they go with Jarry over Murray and sign their other RFAs, I think they can add a 5-6M wing. They could then trade someone like Bjugstad for more space, but probably need a bottom pair defenseman more unless GMJR finds another cheap option.
They'd have Guentzel, Rust, and another wing with McCann, Kahun, and Hornqvist for the last spot and as guys to move up with injuries/ form most of a good bottom 6 line, plus the Blueger line, Simon, and Lafferty so that's plenty up front. |

Yup. Coulda been cheap as poop. And if it didn’t work, (frank)ing bury him. I think the risk/reward ratio was so low, dunno why they wouldn’t take a flyer. |

FWIW.... Just listen to Getzoff on Benz's podcast and he said he keeps hearing from people around the league that Rutherford might still end up with Zucker. |

He absolutely would sign. Play on a real contender with one of his buddies, for sure. Oh well, could still get him at the deadline for a mid round pick. Mtl is basically missing everyone but Tatar as well so he’s playing an otherwise elevated role against top pairings. |

They wouldn't have to bury him... He's on a 2 way contract with him only making $70k if he is sent down. It was a no risk deal to all.... Very puzzling why we didn't move on that one... |

McCann Crosby Simon is going to be a 5ough line to play against. Definitely not the offensive threat without Jake, but that's a line that should control play really well. |

At least McCann is on that line, but I'd have preferred Hornqvist to Simon. |

I think simon is superior in the transition game, which Sid seems to be very particular about. You will likely see Horny get some shifts that start in the offensive zone though. |

(frank)ing right we should have. Now if they make the move for Zucker we could have potentially had Zucker & Kovy. Dumb |

I'd still like E Staal because of his effectiveness at both LW and C...especially if Bjugs is getting shipped. |

I’d like e staal to come here, while beating Carolina, and win a cup so j staal feels stupid for listening to him and leaving pitt. |

Yea but if you can get Zucker, which I've been told is a great fit, with term and younger you go for it. We already have McCann who can play both. And hopefully Galch is gone first and they hold onto Bjugs a little longer. |

How long before Sid's back goes out again carrying the Golden Boy?
Seriously, we don't have anybody better than Simon. Maybe we are showcasing his talents to trade him. One can only hope.
