Bottom line for last night in thought they were the better team they didnt give up a ton of high danger chances and had a lot for. The two posts are killers especially for a team that has trouble finishing. Same story this team needs an influx of talent and as bad as kovy may seem he has more goals than Johnston and kuhnackle and komorov combined

Isles will be lucky to have the resources to trade for one.

Not a sure thing Pageau is available no definite news on whether he resigns with hometown Ottawa. Toffoli is probs available right now but with the amount of teams looking for top 6 help help the price could be high right now. Most other teams are still in the hunt and probs will wait a couple more weeks before deciding on which direction to go.

Agreed on all counts. I know Pageau is a home town guy but it’s still kind of shocking he would consider staying in that disaster. They’ll just develop more young players which will all leave when they can’t afford them anymore and start over again. It will always be a gong show with Melneck owning the team.

Bottom line is they’re digging themselves a hole here which I’m confident they can dig themselves out of. They have to turn it around soon and if and when they do they’ll be a better team for it. How long it takes to get there is what can make or break this season.

All Star break is coming at exactly the right time. Should allow everyone to nurse their wounds and reset mentally.

Agreed but they really need to finish strong to keep pace. They only have one weak team in the Rangers who they’ve made look like super stars twice now in the next three games...

Which is probably for the best. They seem to play better against higher end squads.

Yeah they do. Rangers are going to have a consistent, strong team in the next couple of years. DeAngelo is the new player to hate. Kid has some skills and is putting up some serious numbers. He harnesses that energy and holds it together he’ll be a force. Looks like the rivalry is coming back. Rangers played a pretty dirty game which we didn’t have an answer for. That better change.

About as good as you and I did when Kreider scored last night with 35 seconds left in the third.

I one thing on Pageau staying is that his wife grew up there also & they own a stable of horses or something like that on reasoning why Pageau would decide to stay

You have to think some of these guys if they’re playing somewhere they like they don’t give a (frank). They’re making millions to play a game. Some of the guys in Florida aren’t crying at night if they’re having a losing season chilling on the beach. I would say the fans are probably more pissed then at least some of these guys.
