Sad to say it might be the best thing John. Time to wake up and understand this roster is not winning anything. Maybe a rebuild was the way to go after JT left? - ses111
I think we simply need a few upgrades. We really need a top tier offensive player. Losing Pelech has been a massive hit as well. I'm definitely unimpressed with Varlamov right now, but the goaltenders live and die by the teams play in their own end, which has been poor lately.
I will say this about Varlamov, he's playing a bit small lately. He's not coming out far enough to challenge shooters. I'm sure Mitch will likely address this, but maybe Greiss should get some more consistent starts for now |

No offence Ses, but maybe 5 teams (if that) have what could honestly be viewed as a Cup winning roster. It’s not that unusual. - Wildschwein
Isles are still not one of the team and that's a big deal. You cannot be a serious Cup team when you are counting on players like Bailey and Eberle in the top 6 to not be a fog during critical times. |

I do think it’s time to give Greiss more starts. If for no more reason than to motivate Varlamov. - Wildschwein
I agree with that. |

Yeah it was time a while ago. The guy NEVER come us with the big save. Four years 20 million bucks.

What goal was his fault where he wasn’t screened or it wasn’t tipped, or someone’s not alone in front? - nyisles7
Dude we get it! you want varlys nuts on your chin. He is garbage! this team will never advance with this weak tandem, and the fact that barry overstarts varly tells you what? there is no better option. so like I said...………..lou has done ZERO.ZILCH.nothing but keep role players, but he let the most important one walk in Lehner. |

So looking at the Rosters currently in the NHL, who’s gonna win the Cup this year.?

It's who he's always been. His ability has never been the issue. Who knows, maybe his "high hockey IQ" will make him a great coach some day, but it's not making him a great player. - JimmyP
I remember some predraft scouting reports saying his lack of fire was a concern. Whoever said that nailed it |

Your mother had my nuts on her chin last night. She sucks as much as Varly. She’s knows as much about sucking cack as you know about hockey
Varly single handedly beat The Avalanche a few games ago. His Goals against isn’t that bad neither is his S%.
Your right Lou sucks he should get fired. 100%. |

Hey look at it this way. At least Sorokin doesn’t have to worry about fighting anyone for the starting job 😂 |

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Devils won't either. We are really narrowing this down. |

Maybe someone should hit him with his workout chains before each period to get him good and mad. |

One of these guys needs to sit at this point. The only player who shows up just about every game lately for a month is Nelson. You could make an argument to sit anyone. |

4th line will not win you the Cup. The Isles all important 4th line could not manage a goal last playoffs. It takes real talent to win a Cup and a combo of players willing to pay a price. Do you honestly see these qualities with this team with players like Bailey and Eberle? |

Problem is keener Isles cannot sign top FA's right now and you need to be in the lottery to get elite talent. Varly has struggled but he is not the biggest issue. |

I agree and the Isles are lacking in critical areas. Isles are not built for players like Bailey and Eberle to not be consistently good. 4th lines are that for a reason. They cannot carry a team offensively for the most part and cannot make up for a lack of scoring among the top 6 for long stretches. |

Never thought a team with Lou and Barry running it would be this patient with a team clearly struggling. |
