Is Poile going to fire Hynes now? That seems to be his motive after a loss to Anaheim.

Preds will be sellers. The window has passed for this version of the team. Time to blow it up. Other than Forsberg and Josi, everyone is available. Priority: goalie.

It's rebuild time in Smashville! Thanks Paul.

Poile's almost seventy... He wants to win a cup. He probably doesn't have another four or five years to wait around for the team to get good again and make another run. For those reasons I don't think Poile will be willing to go into all out rebuild mode. Some of these contracts make the team semi-demolition proof anyway. I see him going more along the lines of a soft retool like the Blackhawks have tried to do in the past. Sell off all his expendable assets and try to find a couple of quick-fix solutions in the off-season... Like Duchene was supposed to be this year. I could be wrong though, I'm not going to pretend I understand DP's motivations. I guess it really depends on how secure Poile feels with his job.

He might think that, but he's wrong. There's no evidence that a soft retool would do anything. Other than the Forsberg trade, nothing he's done has made this team better. He's rewarded average players for a two month cup run, where they obviously overachieved. This isn't the team that will get him what he wants.

The owners should start thinking about his replacement.

I hope your post is sarcasm. I watched a team that looked like late September trying to make a pass, catch a pass, defensive breakdowns, no net presence.....

For sure.

It’s past time for roster moves.

They decided to keep most of the same player's and ,the end result is a stagnant team and, they have been left behind .
