Panarin is just absolutely incredible
I don't know what's a crazier stat
22 points in 9 games or 12 points in 4 games
He's right in the mix for the Art Ross and should be a favorite for the Hart
if the Rangers don't sell, he should approach Jagr's 123 point Ranger record |

When you realize he makes $7,000 per minute of ice time then it seems like we’re all worthy |

It is amazing, he never gets hit, I mean never and the way he stops along the left side boards, as the dmen cruise by him, and just wires a pass to the trailer every time. |

we need Lundqvist to retire

Offer him an 8.5 million dollar job in the front office for a year |

I love Lundqvist as much as anyone does, and what I really dont want is for people to start to resent him, and it's going to start happening
Him clinging onto that last year (where he has a base salary of only 4.5 million) is going to force the Rangers to lose some players and it just plain sucks
if he announced today that this is his last season, it solves every problem and the amount of goodwill he would generate would be through the roof |

Yeah, no doubt. However, what made Hank great is what is going to be that he won't do that. To be a hall of fame athlete, you need a certain mentality. It's why guys like Boggs and Mays play well after their prime for different teams, and we watched Fatso struggle mightily with the Blues. These guys just can never not compete, guys like Mariano that retire when they are still pretty great are more than the exception than the norm.
I do hope Hank announces next year as his last year. The guy deserves a farewell tour. As much as this would have been the perfect year to let him play mostly the home games, maybe that's the plan next year to give Hank a lions share of home starts, and let Igor handle the road games. |

Adam Kimelman:
Capitals have re-signed Nicklas Backstrom - five-year, $46 million contract. $9.2 million annual average value. He would have been a UFA on July 1. |

I want to win, playing Hank that much won't help in that matter. |

This is for TPC:

I was on board with shipping him but now I think he could be a very valuable piece moving forward. I don’t want to be buyers at the deadline necessarily but I wouldn’t mind a Kreider extension. The big question is how much? |

It's pretty awesome. Rangers have two legit scoring lines now. The "kid line" is starting to pick it up as well. That was the best game Kakko played in a long time. Just needs to shoot more instead of skating the puck around the net on odd man rushes. |

It'll come in bunches. He wouldn't even have to have a torrid second half and he'd be at a .5 ppg pace. Not terrific numbers, but not as horrible as it seems. |

Hank has "earned" the right to finish the remainder of his contract in NY blue, but it has to be really tough for him to watch these two goalies play, knowing he's the third wheel. Obviously, he knows that he puts a huge wrinkle in the goal tending situation. It's a business, and both parties agreed to his contract, but it has to be difficult for him. Who knows, maybe he waives his NMC.
Dam NYC Fashion Week. If that didn't exist, he would have no problem allowing a trade. |

Panarin is only 4 points behind McDavid for the league lead and has 2 games in hand. Doing all of this playing with Strome and Fast lol |

Wishful thinking. Only way it works, assuming he waived his NMC, is if the starter of a contender goes down before deadline, but even that isn't enough b/c Hank is due 8+ next year.
